Paying It Forward

Wyoming

Red Cross workers relay urgent messages between U.S. service members and their families through our global communication network. The Red Cross also supports military families, veterans hospitals and wounded warrior programs.

Fiscal Year 2013 includes services delivered from July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013.

Educating and Preparing for Tomorrow

“Everyone in the community expects Red Cross volunteers to show up in a crisis.” —Betty R.

When disaster strikes, Red Cross workers are ready to provide a place to sleep, warm meals, clothing, counseling and hope. We also train volunteers, scout shelter locations and pre-position supplies to be able to respond faster.

In Fiscal Year 2013, the Wyoming Red Cross trained 14,135 people in lifesaving skills like CPR.

The Wyoming Red Cross trained 1,843 individuals in disaster preparedness so they can be more resilient in the face of disasters.

In addition to responding to disasters and emergencies, the Red Cross helps people prepare for and prevent them. Individuals, families, businesses and organizations that prepare are better able to withstand and bounce back after disaster strikes.
