T he Mid-Atlan c Banner Users Group (MABUG) is an associa on of Colleges and Universi es in Delaware, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey, Tennessee, and West Virginia.

Virginia State University is so excited to announce our MABUG 2014 Con-ference "Banner on the James", which will take place September 28-30, 2014 at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Richmond - Midlothian.

As always, the MABUG 2014 Conference is a me to bring Higher Educa on Ins tu ons together to discuss the latest Ellucian products, pla orms, vari-ous tools, and offerings, all of which come together to create new ideas and support teaching, learning, and business opera ons. At this year’s event, we will create engagement opportuni es for Colleges and Universi es across the Mid Atlan c User Group to advance sustainability solu ons on our campuses.

Dr. Randal D. Pinke Founder, Chairman and CEO, BCT Partners

Dr. Randal Pinke has established himself as an entrepreneur, speaker, author and scholar, and as a leading voice for his genera on in busi-ness and technology. He is the founder, chairman and CEO of, BCT Partners, a mul million-dollar management consul ng and infor-ma on technology solu ons firm headquartered in Newark, NJ.

Dr. Pinke has received numerous awards for business and technology excellence. He has been featured on na onally televised programs such as The Today Show, Live with Kelly and Michael, Nightline and CNN, and he has been recognized by USA TODAY newspaper as one of the top 20 scholars in the country.

Dr. Pinke is a highly sought-a er speaker for various corpora ons, colleges and universi es, government agencies and community organ-iza ons. He is the author of Campus CEO: The Student Entrepreneur’s Guide to Launching a Mul million-Dollar Business and No-Money Down CEO: How to Start Your Dream Business with Li le or No Cash.

Mary G. Morris CEO, Virginia529

Mary G. Morris is the Chief Execu ve Officer of Virginia529 College Savings Plan, a role she has held since October 2007. She directs and manages the opera ons, resources, and investments of Virginia529, the largest 529 plan in the country, and is involved in state and federal legisla ve and governance issues rela ng to the 529 industry. Mary came to Virginia529 from the na onal law firm of Kaplan Fox & Kilsheimer LLP. As a tax, securi es and bond expert, Mary was brought to the firm’s Ins tu onal Investor Client Services Group for her exten-sive knowledge of public financing issues and public service experi-ence to expand the law firm’s prac ce to state and local pension funds and other ins tu onal investors. Her prior work focused on cor-porate governance ini a ves and standards. Mary is ac ve in both na onal 529 organiza ons, serving as Chairman of the Board of the College Savings Founda on and as Treasurer of the College Savings Plans Network and a member of its Execu ve Board. She also is a member of the Ins tu on of Limited Partners Associa on (ILPA), the Na onal Associa on of State Treasurers Legisla ve Com-mi ee, and the Virginia State Bar.

This applica on is called the Emergency Dashboard applica on because it is intended to be used for emergency situa ons for both University Police and Special Administra on to be able to quickly determine where someone was located, or to be able to deter-mine the poten al impact of an emergency crisis.

By using a technology, we have al-ready learned we take advantage of me and money already spent and reduce the complexity of our environment by not introducing any new technologies.
