Bluu Bar Brasserie Moorgate, London EC2.

This former bank had a thirst for design maturity and appetite for brisk, profitable lunchtime trade. We opened performance kitchens, deposited a pristine white granite servery, invested in champagne cabinets and opted for traditional pieces. London’s pin-stripe set have taken note of the brasserie’s capital ideas.

Pitcher & Piano Deansgate Locks, Manchester.

In the viaduct arches of Deansgate Locks, amidst copper and brick, we contrasted slick, modern design and insertions, such as bespoke red glass chandeliers, delicately constructed from 3,000 hand-made glass tubes, and a‘hovering’ bottom-lit monolith bar, witha Victoriana backdrop and timepiecein rascally homage to the building’srailway heritage. Manchester’s youthful,savvy crowd has climbed aboard.

Bluu Basement Summer Row, Birmingham.

We blended the deepest shades of Bluu from Hoxton, Manchester and Nottingham with New York basement cabaret bar scene influences to deliver underground chic. Lipstick reds, chocolate browns, intimate lighting, voyeuristic reflections and risqué imagery set in the glow of an opulent chandelier centerpiece ensures our second city never sleeps.

CastNottingham Playhouse.

Part-financed by the Heritage LotteryFund and created in partnershipwith English Heritage, we revealedCast’s modernist Grade II* listedshell and contrasted it with contemporary materials to place the bar and restaurant, café, delicatessen and recital/assembly space of Nottingham Playhouse centre stage.
