How I get There

• Two years of precision machining at the Capitol Area Career Center

• During High School I'm hoping to start working in a machine shop while going to the Career Center and get paid to go to school.

• After High School I want to go to or Lansing Community College

College

• At LCC I want to take Manufacturing Engineering Technology Machining

• This will get me a Bachelors Degree and four different kinds of certificates for the field of work

What They Do

• Machinists have to be very precise and accurate in their work

• Machinists use tools such as lathes, mills, and CNC Machines

• They make many different things, such as molds, automotive parts, bolts etc.
