Previously, she was Director of Carson City Health & Human Services, Deputy City Manager and Interim Manager for the City/County of Carson, where she oversaw and developed budgets and programs for community preparedness, public health, environmental health and services, jail and juvenile services, including collaboration with the State, other counties and private entities to develop and expand innovative programs. Marena is a longtime Carson City resident, and spends time with family, which started early on, as a UNR Cooperative Extension 4-H leader with her husband, working with youth to raise sheep, pigs, beef and dairy cattle. KEYNOTE: Erica Olsen, COO & Founder OnStrategy Erica wrote the book on strategic planning – Strategic Planning for Dummies. As COO and co-founder of OnStrategy, Erica has dedicated the past 15 years to helping organizations from around the globe create and execute great strategy. Erica’s expertise in strategic plan facilitation, strategy design, software development, and execution best practices have allowed her to influence the strategic growth of organizations like Patagonia, Microsoft, the City and County of San Francisco, and Washoe County, to name a few. Erica graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a B.A. in Journalism and went on to complete her M.B.A. focused in International Management at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Erica is an avid outdoor adventurist, spending much of her time mountaineering, skiing, biking, and water skiing.

PANEL MEMBERSTrudy Larson, MD, Dean, School of Community Health SciencesTrudy is Professor and Dean of the School of Community Health Sciences(CHS) at UNR, and is dedicated to public health and healthy communities, where shehas overseen growth of CHS to 2000 undergraduate and graduate students. Previously, she was a professor in the department of pediatrics and former chairand associate dean at the UNR School of Medicine. Trudy has spent her career focusing on communicable diseases and has contributed to the �eld in research,education and service, active in evaluation of local and national interventions and projects. She chairs the Nevada Donor Network Board and is active on theNevada Public Health Foundation board. She sees patients at the HOPES clinic, providing medical services to those with HIV/AIDS, as well as speaking toprofessional audiences and the public about AIDS, immunizations, sex education, and health care reform.

Trudy received her medical degree from the UC, Irvine. She completed a Pediatric residency at the UC Davis Medical Center, followed by a fellowship inpediatric infectious disease at UCLA.

Debbi Robinson, Esq. General Council, Monarch Casino & Resort, Inc.Debbi is a licensed attorney and corporate executive. For the last 18 years Debbi has served as General Counsel to the publicly-traded corporation MonarchCasino & Resort. In addition to providing legal counsel, managing risk, and championing best practices within her organization, Debbi oversees the HumanResources functions for the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, and the Monarch Black Hawk Casino outside of Denver.

As a Human Capital leader, Debbi seeks to create a working culture that inspires employees to live ful�lling lives and bring their best selves to work. Debbialso sits on the Board of Directors for the Nevada Business Group on Health, and is the current Board Chairperson for the non-pro�t Reno Problem GamblingCenter. In her (very limited) spare time, Debbi enjoys travel, art, and outdoor adventures. Her goal is to visit all seven continents. To date she has made it to four!

Michelle Joy, Vice President & COO, Carson Tahoe HealthMichelle has over 18 years of healthcare management experience, joining Carson Tahoe Health in January 2015. Michelle began her healthcare careerwith the Iowa Health System (now Unity Point) in Des Moines. In 2000, she assumed the Director of Planning and Marketing position at Banner LassenMedical Center in Susanville, CA, later serving as Associate Administrator and then CEO. Michelle continued her career with Banner Health as CEO inSterling, Colorado; Associate Administrator at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado and Chief Operating O�cer at McKee Medical Centerin Loveland, Colorado.

Michelle holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Grinnell College, Grinnell, Iowa and a Master of Health Administration from the University of Iowa.She is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. In 2011, she received the ACHE Colorado Regent’s Award for Young Healthcare Executive.Michelle enjoys hiking, skiing, travelling and spending time with her husband, Rocky, and twin boys, Andrew and Jacob.

Ti�any Coury, COO, Northern Nevada Medical CenterTi�any began her career in healthcare over 20 years ago as a �le clerk in the medical records department of a hospital in Florida. As she earned her BSdegree in Health Information Management at the University of Central Florida and her MBA at the University of South Florida, she was also earning greaterleadership responsibility within the Adventist Health System. In 2005, she joined Universal Health Services as the Director of Business Development forManatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, FL, where she was promoted to Associate Administrator and led the hospital through service-line enhancementsin cardiac care, behavioral health, wound care and hyperbarics, as well as beginning a residency program. In 2010, Universal promoted her to ChiefOperating O�cer at Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks.

Ti�any now considers Reno home and is so grateful to have the opportunity to continue her passion in healthcare for the community we collectively serve.

Ashley Jonkey, State Director, U.S. Senator Dean HellerAshley Jonkey serves as Senator Dean Heller’s State Director, where she oversees the senator’s o�ces in Reno, Elko, and Las Vegas, managing a sta� of 16.Prior to Senator Heller’s election to the United States Senate, Ashley served as then Congressman Heller’s District Director in Reno. Previously, Ashley spentthree years with the US Department of the Interior in Washington, D.C. as Director of Intergovernmental and External A�airs, where she served as thesecretary’s head liaison on all policies and regulations. She also served as former Gov. Kenny Guinn’s Washington, D.C. O�ce Director, where she worked asa federal liaison between the governor and members of Congress to promote the Nevada’s agenda in our nation’s capital.

Ashley attended Reed High School. She graduated from the UNR with a degree in International A�airs and Political Science and a minor in Italian. Ashleyspeaks �uent Portuguese and Italian and loves to travel. She is married to Matt Jonkey, a native of Carson City and a helicopter pilot with the Nevada ArmyNational Guard. They reside in Reno with their two dogs and her two step-daughters, Emma and Haley.

MODERATOR: Wendy Damonte, Vice President Advocacy and Community Partnerships, Renown HealthWendy is responsible for advancing Renown’s mission by cultivating relationships with community organizations, building grassroots engagement andadvancing Renown’s public stance for health and health policy issues. Wendy was previously with KTVN Channel 2 where she held a long and distinguishedcareer in the news industry. Serving as the station’s health reporter, Wendy has been a visible advocate in the local community for health and wellness issuesincluding serving as Chief Promotional O�cer for Each One. Tell One. – a local nonpro�t that promotes early detection of breast cancer.

Wendy is a longtime Reno resident, graduating from the UNR with a major in journalism and Spanish. She is an avid outdoor enthusiast competing intriathlons and adventure races. She lives on a local ranch with her husband and two children.
