MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP Saturday, October 19, 2019 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

The workshop includes two parts:

1. Lecture Topics

Basic concepts: • Macro photography vs. Close-Up photography• True macro lens vs. regular lens• Basic camera lens settings and operations• Accessories for macro photography• Hand-held macro technique

Not-So-Basic Concepts:• Focusing, Aperture and Depth of Field applied to macro photography• Macro Photography Composition (including macro image samples)• Focus Stacking (using Photoshop)

(Most of the above material is a preparation for the hands-on session, a good source of inspiration and ideas for your future macro images)

2. Hands-on Workshop:

Four shooting stations will be ready with props and macro subjects suitable to photograph. Natural and artificial light source will be used. Maximum four participants per station.A fifth station to practice “Focus Stacking” will also be available. One participant at a time.

Equipment recommended:• Macro lens• Point and shoot cameras with macro capability• Tripod a must• Cable/remote shutter release for your camera
