connect to amazing babysitters like you.

We’re on a mission to give you a service that makes it extremely easy,

flexible and fun to get more jobs, meet more local families and earn

more money.

We’ve built the app based on the feedback of hundreds of babysitters

like you, and we will continue to improve the product in line with what

you tell us you want and need.

Setting-up Your Profile

Your picture

Use the selection & cropping tool in the app to

choose a nice picture from your phone or take a

brand new one.

Your bio

There’s no need for lots of detail - just a few nice lines about your experience,

your hobbies and anything else you think will make you stand out.

“I have several years' experience looking after young children. I spent two years

as a nanny for a lovely family in Wimbledon, where I looked after two beautiful

twin girls. I’m currently studying for a nursery qualification and am looking for

babysitting jobs in the evening or on weekends."

Your hourly rate

You’re free to set your own rate, and you can change it whenever you like.

Be aware though that setting your price too high will limit the number of sit

opportunities you get, so think carefully about this one ☺

Setting Your Availability

Keeping your availability up to date is key.

Just navigate to “My Profile” and select “My

Availability”.

Here you have two options:

do not disturb” - switch on if you do not

want to receive any booking requests, e.g.

when you’re on holiday!

the calendar tool - to set your availability for

the next two weeks.

Simply, scroll through the days and tap the

slots you are available.

Green Means You’re Free and Grey MeansYou’re Not.

Push Notifications: ON!

This is really important

Make sure you have Push

Notifications turned on for

bubble at all times.

Without them, you won’t see

when a Parent is sending you a

booking request!

To check whether you have

Push Notifications turned on,

go to your Phone’s Settings,

find your List of Apps and

select bubble.

From there, you’ll be able to

check and amend your Push

Notification Settings.

Getting a Sit Request

If a local parent wants to book you, they

will send you a sit request.

You will receive a Push Notification to

your phone.

Just tap on this notification to go into the

App and see the sit details, including the

address.

Tapping on the Parent’s name will take

you into their Profile, where you can

read more about them and see any

mutual friends you have in common.

You can also read Reviews left by

other sitters.

At this point you can either Accept the

Sit, Decline the Sit or Message the

Parent if you have any questions.

Be Quick! Parents often send out a sit request to more than one babysitter

– and the first to accept the job, gets the job.

Accepting the Sit: What Next?

Once you’ve accepted, you will receive

email confirmation showing details of the

sit as well as the parent's address and

mobile number.

At any point, you are able to message the

parent in the app.

The sit will start automatically at the

agreed time and the app has an “Active

Sit” screen that tracks the duration of the

sit and lets you message or call the parent

quickly if need be.

Ending the Sit & Getting Paid

When the Parent gets home, they hit “End

Sit” in the app to stop the clock.

At this point, they can review the start and

end time then;

add a tip or extra payment for you – e.g.

for the taxi home, before;

paying you in a tap through the app.

You will receive the funds into your bank

account within 48 hours.

Ratings & Reviews

The final step is for the Parent to Review

the Babysitter and for you to Review the

Parent.

You’re free to review as you see fit though

we’d encourage you not to negatively

review a Parent for things outside of their

control: e.g. the kids crying!

After all, it happens to the best of us! ☺

Sharing bubble With Friends

There are 2 key benefits of sharing bubble with friends & families you know:

1. You will share £20 of credit with any person who signs up to the app with

your unique referral code – after their first sit.

2. If you invite Parents you know to book you through the app, they’ll be leaving

you a positive review after the sit which other local families can read.

Parents on bubble tend to request sitters with positive reviews on theirprofiles. So the more of these you have on your profile, the more requestsyou're going to get.

Go to the “Invite” Page on the app to see and share your unique referral code.

Getting Connected

bubble's technology shows Parents &

Babysitters how they might know each

other through mutual friends.

Parents like to book the sitters their friends

know and trust, so the more connections

you have on the app, the more booking

requests you're likely to get.

Building connections on bubble is easy.

Go to the "Connect" Page in the App and:

1. Connect through Facebook (unless you

did this already during sign-up).

2. Refer Friends: inviting friends with your

unique referral code will expand your

network.

3. My Community: If you work at a specific

school or nursery, add these places to your

profile. The app will use this information to

connect you to Parents whose children

attend that school or nursery.

Verifying Your DBS

When signing up and also when editing your profile, you have the opportunity to

state whether you hold a valid DBS check.

Holding a valid DBS certificate is not a requirement for being a sitter on the

bubble app, but it does make your profile stand out and will increase your

chances of getting booking requests.

On bubble, "Valid" for us means it's been issued within the last 18­months.

In order for your status as "DBS checked" to be visible on your profile, you'll

need to send us a copy of your DBS certificate.

A photograph is fine, as long as the document is close­up and in clear view.
