About Our School
Madera Adult School (MAS) has been serving the adult educational needs of the Madera community since 1969. MAS serves as the lead agency for providing instruction such as: English as a Second Language (ESL), Adult Basic Education (ABE), Adult Secondary Education (ASE), and Career Technical Education (CTE) in Madera County. The central goal of MAS is to support student learning and to help them achieve their educational goals by strengthening their knowledge and skills, enabling them to be productive workers, responsible community members, and lifelong learners. While we are one of the largest adult learning centers in the State Center Adult Education Consortium (SCAEC), our dedicated staff works diligently to meet the individual needs of all our students.
Number of Students
The number of students enrolled at any given time can fluctuate from 800 to 1,700. Class sizes range from 15 to 32 students depending on the time of the year.
