(Created and Adopted February 2018) About Our School Madera Adult School (MAS) has been serving the adult educaonal needs of the Madera community since 1969. MAS serves as the lead agency for providing instrucon such as: English as a Second Language (ESL), Adult Basic Educaon (ABE), Adult Secondary Educaon (ASE), and Career Technical Educaon (CTE) in Madera County. The central goal of MAS is to support student learning and to help them achieve their educaonal goals by strengthening their knowledge and skills, enabling them to be producve workers, responsible community members, and lifelong learners. While we are one of the largest adult learning centers in the State Center Adult Educaon Consorum (SCAEC), our dedicated staff works diligently to meet the individual needs of all our students. Number of Students The number of students enrolled at any given me can fluctuate from 800 to 1,700. Class sizes range from 15 to 32 students depending on the me of the year. About Our School
