The word match is the boldest and biggest part of the front cover, as well as being very colourful, Because it is so big it catches the readers eye and the reader, straight away can recognise the magazine that has the same front, text colour and background colour.

The bright colours of the magazine shows the target audience of the magazine, which is of course to the younger generation.

the people on the cover are easy to indentify, especially to a football fan and with the famous footballers on the front, the magazine seems very famous and popular as well. The pictures take up most of the front cover , again relating to the audience, pictures instead of text.

The text on the cover is very simple because of who it is aimed at and to make it short and sweet, with only showing the important and persuasive text. The No.1 is highlighted in red to stand out, and its saying how key it is.

Sport magazine has an unusual title/masthead because it is not that big, compared to what the other magazines are and not centred down the middle. The “S” in Sport is sideways and this is their house style effect. The colour of “Sport” is not always the same and is chosen by what the background is like, and how it stands out.

The audience to this magazine is a lot more older, and is shown by the dark colours and the serious look on Wayne Rooney's face.

The picture is the main focus of the front cover, as it stands out and dominates the majority of the cover. The black background is perfect to the red/white text and the serious look of Rooney. The magazines audience also lies with the hoody and the dark/night background, which suggests teenagers and young adults.
