Magellan SIM does not work like your "normal" SIM card. It works on the “Call Back” technology. To make a call, dial the number using the full international dial code followed by the ‘#’ key Eg. 0091944722233# A couple of seconds after you dial the number, you will get an incoming call from the number that you dialed. As soon as you answer the call, you will be connected to the destination that you had dialed.Note: You have to answer the incoming call to get connected to your destination.

How does it work ?

Will it work on any mobile phone ?Magellan SIM works on the GSM technology. It will not work on CDMA phones. Please note that in USA and CANADA the GSM networks work on 850/1900 Hz. The user has to ensure that his mobile phone supports this frequency. Ideally for USA / Canada user should use a Quad band frequency supported phone.

Can we use Magellan SIM for data access?Magellan SIM can be used to data access too. The data access charges are applicable for all international destinations. To know the data access charges, you can use the ‘rates’ page on magellansim.com

The customers can never miss the call by using the Voice Mail feature. Customer will get an SMS alert when there are new voice mails.Voice Mail can be accessed directly from the mobile phone by dialing 121#. You can also receive Voice mail in your email inbox if you have enabled this service.

How to activate a SIM card?The SIM Activation can be done easily from the Partner Portal ( partners.magellansim.com )A UK Number will be assigned to the SIM card at the time of activation. Please note that deactivation can be done only by the support team at Magellan SIM.

How can we find the UK number of the SIM card ?The UK Number is assigned at the time of activation. The reseller can find the UK number from the portal and inform the customer. All Magellan SIM has One UK Number assigned to it. The customer can Dial *133# from the phone to find out the Number assigned to the SIM.

How can customer access his call reports?The Customer can log in to our website www.magellansim.com with their Magellan SIM UK Number as the Username and the SIM’s PIN as the password.The SIM’s PIN Number is printed on the Plastic SIM holder.How can the customer recharge SIM card ?The Customer can recharge the SIM either through the Vouchers or can make the payment Online through Paypal or Credit Card.They can also use the recharge voucher to recharge their accounts.Reseller or Agent could use the “Redeem Voucher” option on the Partner portal to recharge their customer accounts.

Will the SIM card Expire ?

When does the validity of talk time Expire ?

The Magellan SIM will be having life time validity. The UK number which was assigned to the SIM is permanent and will be valid for subsequent travels abroad. Customers need not buy new SIM every time they travel.
