Magic Bus Centre For Learning & Development, Karjat.
Education isn’t a preparation for life, its life itself. The dogmatic views of education based on grade system are far from helpful and thus we understand the importance of holistic development. The team from magic bus made us realize the importance of experiential education. Mr. Nachiket Joshi, the experiential educator at magic bus believes that learning can be accomplished through 3 significant milestones: leadership, goal setting and
Experiential Learning at its Best decision making.
Post activity talks consisted of discussions on learnings from each enthralling activity. This simple exercise enabled us to connect to each lesson learnt back at home. The activities set up for us at the magic bus centre for learning and development truly reinstated the fact that learning by doing is the best way of doing.

Eggs Can Fly The children were divided into five groups
for this activity. The task required a lot of thinking. The challenge was to prepare an apparatus including the egg – which when dropped from a height, would ensure that the egg wouldn’t crack. The teams were given a total time of 20 minutes. The task was really challenging because it required an intelligent perspective to ensure the egg does not crack. The team brain stormed for ideas and came up with
creative models. At the moment of the drop test, the teams were really nervous through the excitement. All the teams came up with excellent models and almost all the eggs were intact! Our creativity and mindful thinking was dynamically tested and were pleasantly astounded by the innovative ideas.

What is a camp without the Campfire
At the end of an extremely taxing day we all came together to light the spark among us.
It all began with students sharing their talents. Some danced, some sang while the others were along the fire cheering and enjoying. A lot of fun filled games were organized which united everyone. This made our inner-selves shine through. This made us realize the importance of opening up and letting people know the true you.
The campfire came to an end with everyone dancing around the fire.
We retired to bed that night with memories in our minds and joy in our hearts.
formed between the three cones which acted as floors and the tires were passed between them. Only one tire was allowed to be in play at a time. The students had to be open for suggestions from group members and ensure that they communicated with each other to ensure that no errors occurred. Every possible ounce of our practical thinking capacity was put to the test but resulted in utmost satisfaction once the task was completed.
Animal Treat
Animal treat is a perplexing challenge with a playful twist! The story behind the game is this – A tiger hosts a party on the second floor, our responsibility is to transport the party guests – an elephant, a horse, a dog, a cat and a rat safely to the tiger’s house. The animals were represented by tires while the floors were represented by three cones. The students had to tactfully transport the animals to the third floor ensuring that none the animals die as the heavier one would crush the lighter animal. They had to discuss the optimum strategy to complete this task. Thus a chain was

tried many failed... But well tried. For rappelling, the students wore harness and then they climbed to the top of the tower. At first what looked scary, was eventually a lot of fun. The students were very happy to have finished both the activities successfully. They imbibed the skills of team work since at all times the climber needed two people who were helping him by feeding the rope. The fear of heights was conquered by many and squeals of joy floated through the air.
The Wall
There are ups and downs in life. Here in Magic Bus, we witnessed both of them. The climbing and rappelling activities were conducted for all teams. The students were informed about the different safety instruments and their uses. The main goal of rock climbing was to reach the top of a wall which had small ledges at different places. First one required climbing on the right side of the wall, which was the easy task. The second stage, however was a daunting task. It had an inclined ledge on to which the students had to climb on the way to the top. Many
