Compare and Sync Manager

The Compare and Sync manager provides users the ability to check for changes and synchronize data on a single item/model element level. This can be accomplished by selecting which changes are to be synchronized and then specifying the direction of the synchronization.

Model Lifecycle Management

The Teamcenter plugin allows users to expose PLM operations, such as saving, updating and revising, within the UML/SysML modeling tool. Users can manage and reuse UML/SysML models by storing model files as a modeling baseline. In addition, it is possible to save selected diagrams (as images) and external files together with a project file in Siemens Teamcenter. Viewing diagram images and files directly from the Active Workspace Client (AWC) is also offered.

Active Workspace Integration

The Teamcenter plugin integrates the Active Workspace Client into No Magic. This allows users the ability to browse Teamcenter data, including exported SysML elements and diagrams, without leaving the modeling tool environment.

Bidirectional Data Synchronization

Users will benefit from importing and exporting items/model elements as bill of materials (BOM) to/from the No Magic modeling tools. During import, physical components can be allocated to logical (BOM → Block), and exporting a model generates preliminary design (Blocks → BOM). The Teamcenter plugin also allows for synchronizing changes from a modeling tool to Siemens Teamcenter and vice versa, and trace mapped data.

Out-of-the-Box Mapping

The Teamcenter plugin comes with a complete mapping scheme that is available out-of-the-box. The mapping scheme is based on the best fit between SysML and RFLP (Requirements, Functional, Logical and Physical approach.)

Customizable Mapping

Because custom items and schemas are common in the PLM environment, the default mapping is customizable on a single property level.

Functional and Requirements Analysis Using Analysis Request

Enhance Teamcenter multi-domain system modeling with model-driven function allocation and system interface definition using SysML functional behavior modeling. Users can enable model driven requirement engineering using a SysML modeling tool, allowing model driven requirement analysis and validation.

No Magic is a foundation partner of Siemens PLM, the preferred partner for UML/SysML and part of Siemens PLM Systems Engineering (Systems Driven Product Development) Strategy

In July, 2015 No Magic became a foundation partner of Siemens PLM, and is the preferred partner for UML/SysML capabilities. No Magic is also integral to Siemens PLM Systems Engineering (Systems Driven Product Development (SDPD)) Strategy. As noted by Siemens, UML/SysML is essential to System Driven Product Development, especially in conjunction with current and future automation trends (sof tware centric solutions). The integration between SysML and PLM is achieved in the context of systems engineering formalization driven by MBSE. Formalization in systems engineering enables the automation of data interchange between SE and other disciplines.

Overview

The No Magic Siemens Teamcenter integration is the result of the long-standing collaboration between Siemens PLM and No Magic, Inc.
