Why Do You Need Protection? There are many ways to protect yourselfwith magick. Some books show you howto defend against curses and psychicattack, but this book can also help toshield you from cruel people, bullies,bad luck, gossip and people whoundermine you. If you are afraid of violence, robbery orrandom accidents, you can help to makeyourself safe with magick. If somebodyis merely unpleasant, you can protectyourself from their subtle malice. Ifsomebody means you great harm, youcan stop them in their tracks.

You can protect your self, your home,your work and your loved ones, all witha series of simple rituals. You may think you are cursed or underpsychic attack. If so, you can put an endto this attack. You may think you’ve donesomething wrong, or performed ‘badmagick’ in the past. You may evenbelieve somebody has cast the ‘evil eye’upon you. This book can take away suchproblems. If you’ve never performed magickbefore, that is absolutely fine. Even ifmagick is new to you, everything youneed to know to protect yourself isincluded in these pages. Magickal

Protection is a great way to get intomagick, but the book has also beenwritten for people who are alreadydeeply involved with magick. It shouldbe perfect for beginners, while givingadvanced protection to experiencedoccultists.

How Much Protection Do You Need? If you are under attack from a bully, acruel boss, a mean partner or anunknown assailant, you need protection.If you feel you are having a run of badluck or that you may be cursed, you needprotection. There are thousands ofreasons why this book can work for you.It can keep you safe from strange psychicdangers or protect you from somethingas ordinary and deadly as a random roadaccident. It’s important, though, to get someperspective. Life is not always safe, andthat’s actually OK. The easiest way toavoid danger is simply to lock yourself

away to avoid all harm. But that, ofcourse, is no way to live. When children are playing, werepeatedly tell them to ‘be careful’ or tostop hanging upside down off that treebranch, because we’re afraid of thedanger. And yet we still let them play.Those kids are having a great time, andit’s worth risking a broken arm for thesake of experiencing an exciting life. Butwe don’t want our kids to get hurt, so weprotect them as much as we can – frompeople, from illness, from accidents. Finding a good balance is the difficultpart, and the same is true with magick.You may live an ordinary life and want

protection. You may lead a magickal lifeand need supernatural protection. Or youmay lead an adventurous life, or work ina dangerous career and need protectionfrom the inherent dangers. This book encourages you to protectyourself when needed, but I don’t wantyou to spend your life living in fear andputting up all the barriers you can toensure no harm will ever come to you.That approach merely shows that you areterrified of life, and then you willprobably attract more bad luck. Thisbook should give you sufficientprotection that you can be courageous inthe world, and experience everythingyou want to experience.

If you really, really want to avoid havingan airplane crash, the obvious advice is- don’t fly airplanes. But, clearly, that’snot useful advice. If you love flying, orneed to fly for work, or just want to takea vacation then you can use magick tomake it as safe as possible. Anybodythat wants to fly should fly. That doesn’t mean you won’t ever crash.I am a trained private pilot and I flyoccasionally. I used to be a keen pilot,flying all the time, and even when usingmagickal protection I had some nearmisses, involving engine problems, otheraircraft getting too close and unexpectedbad weather. I survived, but not always

without a scratch. I still feel grateful,though, because I managed to get out ofsituations that were potentially deadly.When you fly a lot – and I mean a lot -you tend to crash occasionally. To me,magick gave me the confidence to flyoften, and get away with it even whenthe odds were against me. I used protection magick to keep me safewhile travelling through a city once, butI was robbed. Does this mean the magickwas a failure? Not at all. They only tookmy credit cards, which I promptlycancelled, and they never noticed the bigwad of cash that was clearly visible inmy wallet. Everything was back tonormal in 24 hours and I was barely

shaken. I can only think that the magickmade that robbery as bearable as itcould have been. The point of these stories is to show thatprotection magick will help keep yousafe, but it will not shield youcompletely from life, and nor should itaim to do so. Life is an adventure andwe sometimes have accidents andproblems. This book is aimed at protecting youfrom the sort of unpleasantness thatmakes life feel unfair, unkind andunbearable. There are times when youhave bad luck, feel afraid of people, getpushed around, get cursed or attacked by

people, and this magick can put a stop tothat. You can also protect yourself fromaccidents, as well as protecting yourhome and family. I only tell the two stories above – aboutthe flying and the robbery – to be ashonest as possible, and say that althoughyou will be genuinely shielded, youwon’t be invincible. You must still takecare and look after yourself. I have often used spells to remain‘invisible’ in dangerous areas, because Ienjoy passing through such places – but Ialso know that it’s important to keep alow profile. When passing through thoseareas I don’t attract attention to myself.

You need to contribute to the magick. Ifyour home is under threat from thieves,get good locks as well as good magick. This might sound outrageously obvious,but many people think that magick willbe so powerful they can do whateverthey want and remain protected. A youngman I knew used a protection ritual toavoid violence, and went out on adrunken night and thought he couldverbally abuse anybody he wanted. Hefound out how wrong he was. Mind you,when he was punched, he did manage tokeep his teeth intact – so perhaps themagick helped after all. The point hereis that protection magick is meant tokeep you safe, not to make you a

superhero. If you’re actually under threat ofviolence from a known person, your firstjob is to report that person to the police.If you are in a domestic situation whereyou are afraid of somebody, you can usemagick to subdue that person for awhile, but you need to plan a way out ofthat situation and seek help and supportfrom others. This is common sense, but itis often difficult to see when you arestuck in that situation. The magick in this book is simple to setup and use, and can make your life muchcalmer and safer, clear away pastproblems and prevent you from being

hurt. Follow the instructions confidentlyand you will get results.

The Sense of Danger This book aims to protect you from real-world danger, such as robbery and caraccidents, but it is also aimed atstopping curses, hexes, psychic attacksand crossed conditions. Crossed conditions can occur when youare on the wrong spiritual path (throughchasing dreams that aren’t really yourown), when you have inadvertentlyoffended a spirit, spent time in a placethat is sacred to others, or passedthrough a place that is tainted with evil.You can also be crossed if somebodyhates you powerfully enough, even ifthey have no occult experience. The

same crossed conditions can arise fromthe repetition of negative commentsabout yourself to yourself. A man wrote to me recently and said hewas doing all the magick he could thinkof but then added, ‘I try and try and tryand never get any reward.’ What apowerful spell that was. He was cursinghimself with that negative statement. Ipointed that out to him, and he replied bysaying, ‘I’m always making mistakeslike that.’ Another powerful spell,directed straight at himself. This is notto say you need to go around being apositive thinker, but it is possible thatnegative thoughts can accumulate to thepoint of leaving you blocked from

further spiritual or material progression. How do you know that you’ve beencursed, attacked or crossed? Generally,you don’t, unless somebody has told youthat they’re cursing you. The symptomsof any psychic attack or curse are allquite similar, and can be identical to thefeeling of crossed conditions. The symptoms include a general feelingof disconnection from the world andfrom people, a sense of depression, badluck and a series of accidents and minorannoyances, nightmares, a sense ofdread, or the feeling of being watched.You may have continual illness, repeatedcomputer problems (such as lost

passwords), a feeling of being vague,with a fuzzy-headed sense of self,tiredness, with a poor memory, whilegenerally feeling low and sad for noreason. You may also feel disliked and that lifeis pointless. You may feel afraid for noobvious reason, and you may evenexperience physical phenomena such asnoises, flashes of light or glimpses ofentities out of the corner of your eye.Sometimes these phenomena escalateslowly over years, so slowly that youalmost think of them as normal.Sometimes they start so suddenly youcan be certain that you’re under attack.

Of course, these symptoms could becaused by ordinary problems or mentalproblems – and you should always checkon those first - but if in doubt, there is noharm in getting the magick started toprotect yourself. Everybody feels theabove symptoms from time to time, butyou can be fairly certain that you’vebeen cursed or crossed if four or moreof those symptoms occur on a regularbasis. You may also just get an intuitionthat you’ve been attacked. Trust thatintuition. Does it matter where the attack comesfrom? Not really, because although youmay be certain an ex spouse is likely tohave cursed you, you could be wrong,

and then you might end up expending alot of magickal energy on the wrongperson. Most of the magick in this book isdesigned simply to protect you, ratherthan finding out who might be attackingyou. Trying to find out the source of anattack can be draining. Also, one of thefirst protections people use whencursing you is to ensure they remainanonymous. If it’s a well designed curse,that can lead to you becoming paranoidwhen you try to discover the source of acurse, and you’ll end up suspectingeverybody. It’s best not to worry about how you

were cursed, attacked or crossed, andinstead, simply protect yourself. Ofcourse, there are rituals that can stopspecific bullies and enemies in thisbook, and then you do need to know whois attacking you in order to stop them.The details required for those ritualswill be explained when you come tothem. There was a time when I was repeatedlyattacked, in a highly vicious manner, bysomebody (or a group of people) whoused every tactic imaginable to keep mecursed. Every time I stopped the curse,they tried a new way to get to me. Noneof it mattered. I simply used the magickin this book. Every time I did so, they

were stopped and eventually they gaveup. You are unlikely to be the subject of sucha major attack, so be assured that youcan uncross yourself, or stop curses withthis magick, and it won’t take much timeor effort at all.

How to Use This Book You can use this book any way you like,but to get the most out of it, do thefollowing: Learn The Sword Banishing and practiceit twice a day as instructed, every day. Perform the Master Protection Ritual for33 days. (In the future, if you ever feelyou are subject to an attack or a run ofbad luck, repeat this Master ProtectionRitual for another 33 days. It’s unlikelyyou’ll need to do this more than onceevery few years. The ritual protects youagainst bad luck, violence, randomaccidents and shields you from curses

and psychic attack. It is the core of thebook and is hugely powerful.) Use the Protection Rituals that make upthe rest of the book at any time, to solveparticular problems or set up specificdefenses, but please note that they willwork better when you have spent a fewdays using The Sword Banishing and theMaster Protection Ritual. If you need to use a specific ritual rightaway, go ahead, but learn The SwordBanishing and Master Protection Ritualas soon as you can. With that said, there are several differentways you may want to approach this.

Scenario 1: General Protection

You just want to learn about protectionand put up some defenses. Learn TheSword Banishing and after a few days,when you feel you’re getting to gripswith it, start learning the MasterProtection Ritual as well. Use theProtection Rituals if you ever need them. Scenario 2: You’re Concerned About

A Possible Attack If you feel that you may be under somesort of psychic attack, or that your luckis particularly bad, begin with TheSword Banishing and Master Protection

Ritual on the same day. If there’s noimprovement within a few days, look atScenario 3. Scenario 3: You’re Under Attack and

Need Urgent Help Let’s say you know you’ve been cursed,or your house is the target of thieves, ora bully is making your life hell – youknow something is wrong and you wantit stopped. Go straight to the bestProtection Ritual for your needs andcarry it out immediately. This will bringyou some relief. As soon as you havedone this, learn The Sword Banishingand The Master Protection Ritual as

soon as possible – ideally you shouldbegin working with them on the sameday. This is quite a lot of magickal workat one time, but if you’re desperate to getto the Protection Rituals it’s best to putup as much protection as possible. You can perform more than oneProtection Ritual at a time, if you havethe energy, but often there is no need. Ifyou find the right ritual, and direct it atthe source of your problem, you may notneed to use five or six rituals. However,in an extreme emergency, it is quitepossible to combine five or six rituals toensure that an enemy is stopped and thatyou remain safe. This will take time andenergy, so only use multiple rituals if

you really require them. It’s better tospend ten minutes really working outwhat protection you need, than to spendan hour every day doing six rituals thatmight not be required. Please note that all rituals take severaldays. If you miss a day, it’s not going toruin the ritual, but it can weaken theresults, so carry on with the ritual assoon as you are able, and continueworking until you’ve performed it for therequired number of days. So if a rituallasts for three days, make sure youperform it on three different days, evenif it takes you a month to do so. Ideally,of course, you should work three days ina row, but this isn’t always possible.

Although each ritual takes several days,none of them are too time consuming,and they can be carried out in privatewithout the need for any equipment suchas candles, oils, chalk circles or wands.This should make it easy for you to getstarted.

What Happens When You Banish? A banishing serves several purposes. Atits most basic, a banishing ritual offersprotection. It’s a way of saying ‘goaway’ quite forcefully to anythingsupernatural that may be nearby, andclears a psychic space around yourselfand puts up a protective barrier. This isan ideal way to prepare your spacebefore working any magick as it ensuresthere are no unwanted presences thatmight latch onto your psychic energy. If that’s the case, why haven’t Ipublished banishings in my previousbooks? The books published to datehave contained in-built constraints and

protection, along with major behind-the-scenes magick that we have employed toensure that the workings are safe. Ifyou’re using Words of Power, MagickalAngels, Magickal Cashbook, TheMagickal Job Seeker, Adventures in SexMagick, Wealth Magick or MagickalSeduction you don’t need to banish, butit’s optional. In future books I willexplore some of the darker sides ofmagick, and this can leave you morevulnerable. Access to a banishing ritualwill then be useful. The main reason to use a dailybanishing, however, is for the generalprotection it provides, as well asimproving your magickal focus.

Many people have asked me to share thebanishing ritual used by The Gallery ofMagick, because they are afraid of asupernatural presence or curse, and feelthe need to protect themselves. Violenceand attacks of all kinds happenfrequently, and people have asked me forhelp, so this feels like the right time tomake this banishing available. If you have been cursed or attackedpsychically, banishing rituals can limitthe effects of the attack, so you can startusing the ritual right away. You willneed to deal with the attack separately aswell, and that will be explained later inthe book. Get started with banishing as

soon as you can. It won’t solve all yourproblems by itself, but it will limit anyattacks on you and prepare you for otherprotection rituals. And then when youhave solved all your problems, a twice-daily banishing can protect you fromfuture attacks of all kinds. The banishing itself should be practicedtwice a day. Given that the entirebanishing can be performed mentally,this is easy to do. If you practice thisbanishing twice every day you are muchless likely to be the victim of any type ofpsychic attack or curse. You are not obliged to banish every day,and sometimes I feel so at ease with the

world that I don’t bother to banish. But ifyou want to keep up the best protection,a daily banishing, twice each day, is agood way to sharpen your magickalpowers and protect yourself.

Why This Banishing? You are free to learn any banishing youlike, and there are many on offer (free ofcharge, online), but this book revealsThe Sword Banishing, which wasdeveloped by The Gallery of Magickbetween 1982 and 1988. It was furtherrefined in more recent years and it is theone we prefer to use. The beauty of this banishing is that it canbe performed in silence, using nothingmore than your imagination. Manybanishings involve wandering around incircles, waving daggers and shouting outangelic names, which can be asurprisingly enjoyable and dramatic

experience, but it isn’t ideal if you wantto perform magick quickly anddiscreetly.

When To Banish Some people like to banish as soon asthey finish a ritual, to make sure thatwhatever spirit they called upon hasgone off to do its work. I don’t usuallybanish after a ritual, because it seemslike overkill. If you’ve asked the spiritto go and do it’s work, it should leavewithout being forced to leave. Imagine asking an employee to comecloser so you can whisper something,telling your worker what task you wantthem to do next, and then pushing themaway roughly to make sure they get onwith the job. If you banish at the end of aritual, it can feel a bit like that, or at

least like you’re slamming the door onyour guest. So as a rule, I give a spiritlicense to depart and leave it at that, anduse banishing separately. I will banish after a ritual if the spiritseems to linger in my mind, or if thereare unexpected side effects, such ascrashes, bangs and so on. If anythingfeels a bit too supernatural or outside ofmy control, then I will banish to shut itup. Crashes and bangs aren’t usuallyanything to worry about. Often it can justbe a sign that the spirit is connected toyou harmlessly, but it can sometimesmean that something else slipped in

during the ritual and is trying to causemischief. And if you’ve called on aparticularly aggressive demon thatrefuses to leave, you might want to shutit up so you can get on with your day. Ifanything’s disturbing you, you have theright to banish it and find some peace. Of course, crashes and bangs can just beparanoia. If you keep a log of how manytimes a bird flies into your window, or acat screeches, or you get sick – ithappens all the time. But when ithappens after a ritual, people oftenassume the worst and think they’re underattack. If in doubt, you can banish. It’squick and easy and it works, but there’sno need to banish after every single

magickal act. A banishing doesn’t just say ‘go away’and close you off. It also has the slightlyironic effect of making you more visibleon the astral plane – that is, you becomemore noticeable to all supernaturalentities. A good banishing makes youvisible while offering protection, so thatonly the spirits you directly anddeliberately want to contact will getthrough to you. This is why I like to banish before aritual. It clears the space, it makes sureI’m visible to any being I may call, andit strengthens my psychic power. I knowthat after a banishing I am shining bright

on the astral plane, and making contactwith spirits of all kinds will be safer andeasier. Whatever banishing you use, this psychicbrightness can make you attractive tounwanted entities. The vast majority ofthe time they will not be able to doanything other than make a noise, makeyour mood change, or alter theatmosphere in the room slightly. If youcomplete a ritual and feel any sense ofunease, or that an unwanted entity hasbee attracted into your life, feel free tobanish again and you will be safe. You can reserve banishing for rituals, ormake it a regular part of your daily

magickal work to keep you safe.Personally, I banish twice a day (asdescribed in the following paragraph)and will banish again any time that I amabout to perform a magick ritual. This isthe approach I recommend. It’s ideal to banish twice a day, once inthe morning and once at night. If you dothis every day you will make yourselfmore receptive to magickal results, andsafe from curses, attacks and physicalharm. If you want to develop magickally,this is a routine that you should develop. If you cannot banish twice a day, don’tworry. You won’t suddenly be assailedby hoards of demons. But if you can find

the time to make this a regular practice,it only takes moments and the benefitsare noticeable. In an ideal world you should perform thefirst banishing before sunrise and thesecond banishing after sunset. Not manyof us live in an ideal world. You maywork shifts, have kids, have to get upwhen the alarm goes off, or just be toobusy to get this work done. There aremany things that make the ideal approachimpossible. If that’s the case, don’tworry, but perform the banishing whenyou can. I’ve found the most useful time to do thebanishing is as soon as I awaken, before

getting up. Where I live (most of thetime), that’s before sunrise. If the sun hasrisen, I don’t worry about it, and banishanyway. Doing the banishing in bed, before youget up, only works if you can wake upwithout disturbing anybody, because ifyou have kids or a partner, you don’twant them talking while you’reperforming magick. I perform the second banishing justbefore falling asleep. So it’s alwaysperformed in bed, with my eyes closed,when I appear to be going to sleep. I know people who perform the

banishing while in the shower (it wasteswater, but offers privacy), or whenpretending to visit the bathroom. It’s notglamorous, but even angels really don’tmind where you are or what you’redoing when you banish. Some people do the banishing whenbeing driven to work (but this requiresthe luxury of having a driver – you don’twant to do any magick while you’redriving your own car), or while sittingon a train. There are many times to getthis banishing done, once you make thecommitment. The good news is that you don’t need analtar or robe or any purification rituals.

There’s no need for candles, salt, herbs,oils or incense. Despite this, our simplebanishing works as effectively as anywe’ve known if you follow theinstructions as written. The Sword Banishing that follows issimple to execute, and calls on angelsthat are easy to access. Direct contactwith angels is fundamental to quicksuccess with a banishing. I have usedbanishings that didn’t work for severalmonths, because it took so long tocontact the mighty entities I was callingon. Our banishing has been developed to beas effective as any other, but it employs

angels that can be contacted with nothingmore than the mention of their names anda simple magickal thought.

A Note on Pronunciation If you’ve read Words of Power, you canskip this chapter, but if not, you’ll findthat the pronunciation of all the words inthis book is easy. You read the wordsthat are in capital letters as though theyare written in English. When you see the spirit name Alphun, itis actually pronounced AL-FUN. Aftereach spirit name or word of power, thepronunciation will be written in capitals,something like this: Alphun (AL-FUN) In this example, AL would sound like

pal without the p, and FUN is just theword fun. So Alphun is pronounced AL-FUN. This makes it extremely easy topronounce everything you need. The only sound that presents a challengeis CH, as in the angelic name Yohach.This would be written as YO-HACH,but the CH is not the sound you find inchoose or cheese. If you know theScottish word Loch, or the Germanword Achtung, that’s the CH soundyou’re aiming for. Search YouTube orsimilar sites for the pronunciation ofthose words (preferably by Scottish andGerman speakers respectively), andyou’ll know how to get it right.

If you simply can’t get that CH to soundright (and that does happen with somepeople due to their accent and dialect),then simply use the K sound when yousee CH. So for Yohach, you would sayYO-HAK. This is not ideal, but it willstill work. People worry about gettingpronunciation right more than just aboutanything else in magick, but it is not allthat important. Nothing is worse for yourmagick than worrying about getting itprecisely correct. It’s better to domagick often, with bold intent andconfidence, than to aim for perfection. You can trust that these pronunciations

have been tested on many people, andthey work. More detailed pronunciation will beprovided for every word at the end ofthe book, to ensure you feel confident,but be assured that the system has beendeveloped with visual sigils to ensurethat it is pronunciation-proof. Only usethe pronunciation guide if you actuallyget stuck.

Preparing For The Sword Banishing The Sword Banishing calls on thepowers of the angels Yohach, Kalach,Natzariel and Oziel. The activation alsouses seven divine names, making a totalof eleven names. You will need to learn how to say theseeleven names to activate the banishing,but you will use the four angel names ona daily basis. If this seems like a difficult task, pleasebe aware that many banishings requireyou to learn countless movements,gestures, words, calls andvisualizations. Many require daggers,

swords, chants, chalk circles, incenseand other paraphernalia. This banishingis about as simple as it gets, but no lesspowerful. The banishing can last you alifetime, so if you’re serious aboutprotection take the time to learn theeleven names. First, get used to saying the followingeleven names out loud. Later you will beable to say the four angelic namessilently, in your mind, but for now, learnwhat they sound like and feel like whenyou say them. Pronunciation is not a big deal, so if yousee the names and feel confident sayingthem, go ahead. I get hundreds and

hundreds of messages aboutpronunciation, so there is apronunciation glossary at the back of thebook for every word used here if youneed it, but the main message is – don’tworry about pronunciation! Here is the list of eleven names.

It won’t take you long to learn theseeleven names, and then you are ready toactivate the banishing. You don’t evenneed to learn them by heart – just be ableto say them, with clear confidence.

Activating The Sword Banishing Before you perform the banishing itselfthere is a short activation that takes justa few moments, and this gives thebanishing power for all future use. Thisactivation needs to be performed justonce, ever. It is easy to do, and is in fact so easy thatyou may think it’s unimportant. Please donot skip this section. Although it onlytakes a few seconds, this smallpreparation makes the angels aware ofyour call, so they can assist you in everybanishing you perform for the rest ofyour life.

Find a time when you can be alone and aplace where you can speak the wordsout loud. If you have to whisper them,imagine that you are calling them to theends of the Universe. On the following page there is a sigil, inthe form of a box, with the eleven namesyou have learned to speak. They arewritten in Hebrew and below that inEnglish. To activate these words yousimply look at each Hebrew word inturn, scanning the letters from right toleft. (This is the opposite direction to theway you read English.) You are nottrying to read the words; you are justtaking in the letter shapes, as you scanover them. After you scan each word

from right to left, you say the wordbeneath it. This word is read as a normalEnglish word, from left to right, and youread it out loud, three times. Move down the list and scan the nextword visually, and then read out theEnglish word below it, three times.Continue until you have visually scannedand read out all the words. They arenow activated and ready for use in thebanishing. To ensure you understand this clearly, Iwill describe it step by step. Do thefollowing: Scan your eyes over the following sigil,

looking at the uppermost Hebrew word,scanning your eyes from right to left. Youare not trying to read or understand. Youare only looking at the letter shapes. Then repeat YOHACH at least threetimes. You can keep repeating it for up toa minute if you feel an urge to do so, butthree repetitions is enough. When that is done, move down one lineand scan the second Hebrew word, fromright to left, and then repeat KALACH atleast three times, but for up to a minute ifyou want to. You now have the attention of the angelsand need to seal their commitment to you

by reading the remaining names. Move to the third line, and scan the thirdHebrew word, from right to left, andrepeat AVGEETATZ at least three times,but for up to a minute if you want to. Continue in the same way, one line at atime, until you finish with OZEE-ELLwhich is also read at least three times.All four angels - Yohach, Kalach,Natzariel and Oziel - are now committedto your protection. Your voice is connected to the angelicnames through divine power. There is noneed to close this ritual or do anythingelse. The magick is complete.

The Sword Banishing The hard work is done and The SwordBanishing can now be carried out withease. As mentioned previously, you can dothis out loud or silently in public. Solong as you can say the words, orimagine them clearly while followingthe other instructions, this will work. You will be required to visualize someimages, but it doesn’t matter if you arehopeless at visualization. Simply picturethings as best you can, and that is goodenough. Visualization is not aboutmaking perfect mental pictures, so much

as a sense of knowing. If I tell you toimagine the sun, you know what the sunlooks like, or you have an idea aboutwhat the sun is. That’s good enough. Worrying about magick ruins magick, sodon’t worry about whether or not youcan visualize well enough. Do the bestyou can, and it will work. You can sit, kneel, stand or lie down, butdon’t do this while walking, driving ordoing anything that requires yourattention. To begin, take a breath and imagine thesun, and feel its mighty power. Imaginethe sun shrinking down, and as it shrinks

it moves towards your chest. It settles inyour heart as a tiny, brilliant star. Say (or think) the name of the angelYOHACH, and imagine a mighty angelstanding on your right, facing the samedirection that you are facing. Whateverimage comes to mind for you is the rightimage, so long as the angel is standingon your right and facing in the samedirection that you are. (If you are lyingdown, it will be facing in the directionof your feet.) The angel can appear likea traditional winged being, or a hugemuscled warrior. Let any image you likearise, and it is fine if the image isdifferent every time you do thebanishing. Ensure that Yohach holds a

huge, brilliant sword in each hand. Onesword is held across Yohach’s body forprotection, and the other is pointedforwards, ready to attack. Now say (or think) the name of the angelKALACH and imagine a mighty angelstanding on your left. Again, let anyimage you like arise, but ensure thatKalach holds a huge, brilliant sword ineach hand. One sword is held acrossKalach’s body for protection, and theother is pointed forwards, ready toattack. The swords can appear in any style thatyou like, but the blade should be made ofmetal so brilliant that it glows like

starlight. Say (or think) the angelic nameNATZAREE-ELL and remember the starof light in your chest. As you say (orthink) the word OZEE-ELL, the starexpands to surround you. (You do notneed to imagine these particular angels.) As the star expands, it’s like beinginside a huge sphere of brilliant white,with your heart at the very center. Thesphere should be large enough that youare entirely enclosed within it. It willpass through the floor, your chair if youare seated, or your bed if you are lyingdown. It will pass through other peopleif they are nearby. This is all fine. You

can make the sphere as large as a house,or as large as a mountain if you like, butmost people find it easier to imagine asphere that’s about twice the size thatthey are. Imagine this sphere of starlight for only amoment, and then let it fade, as theangels on either side fade from view.The banishing is done. This may sound complex, but withpractice the whole process can take aslittle as ten seconds.

The Master Protection Ritual The Master Protection Ritual should becarried out for thirty-three consecutivedays. If you can not perform it every day,simply continue when you can untilthirty-three days have been completed. This ritual strengthens your sense of selfand your divine right to protection. Itdeflects curses and attacks. Thisworking also acts as an uncrossingritual. If you have been cursed, hexed,attacked psychically (intentionally or byaccident), or suffer from any type ofcrossed conditions, this ritual will makeyou safe.

The ritual is a good way to protectyourself generally in the real world. Itensures you are less likely to be a victimof violence, random accidents and badluck. The daily Sword Banishing will hold offattacks, but this Master Protection Ritualis a way of declaring to the Universe thatyou are expressing your true will in theworld, and that you want to follow yourpath without harm coming to you or yourloved ones. The ritual will ensure thatyou are magickally strengthened, that anycrossed conditions are removed, and thatyou have the power to carry out otherProtection Rituals.

For many, this Master Protection Ritualis all you will need, and the remainingrituals will not be required. In somecases, though, highly potent attacks ordifficult circumstances will require youto use the other Protection Rituals in thebook. For now, know that this MasterProtection Ritual is an extremelypowerful way to assert your divine rightto security and happiness, and that it willgive you protection, strength and safety. about an argument you’ve just had,notice that tension, but don’t judge it orwish it away. Simply notice the feelingthat is most prominent for you. If youfeel bad, that’s fine. If you feel great,that’s fine as well. You simply need totake a moment to sense your actualemotional state. Now scan your eyes over the lettershapes in the outer ring of the talisman,from right to left, starting at the very topand going anti-clockwise. This meansyou’ll be scanning your eyes over lettersthat are upside down when you get to thebottom of the circle, and that isabsolutely fine. You are not reading, justletting the letters sink into your eyes,

effortlessly. These are words of powerbased on divine names. Keep movingyour eyes over them, anti-clockwise,until you’ve seen each word. Look at the top of the black star. Look ateach letter in the black star, againstarting at the top and moving anti-clockwise. These letters spell the namesof the angels Yohach and Kalach andhelp them to oversee the working. Now gaze at the central triangle, withouttrying to read or scan the letters – justgaze at the white triangle. If you see theletters, or feel drawn to look at them,that is fine, but just gaze at the whitetriangle for a few moments.

You have opened a gateway to a groupof spirits that will hear your call. Whenyou speak the following ritual, say it asthough you mean it, and say it as thoughyou are actually talking to somebody.Don’t just read the words, but when youcall on Haven, know that you are talkingto a genius spirit known as Haven, whocan grant you the powers of magick.Speak with authority. You are politelycommanding, rather than begging orpraying. These spirits are thought of asneither angel nor demon, but as apersonification of moral force. Theyhave free will, but will obey you gladlybecause the talisman has given youdivine authority to command them.

After speaking each line, pause for amoment, and think about what it wouldbe like to have the power granted to younow, this very moment. When you ask for ‘the power of themagus’, imagine that you have beengranted that power, the power to domagick. When you ask for ‘the power ofharmony’, imagine the feeling of havingthat power, to bring harmony into yourlife. This may take some practice, and thefeelings you generate in these moments

will change with time, but always,always pause after speaking the line, tofeel as though the request has alreadybeen granted, and imagine what it feelslike to have that power now. This is the ritual. Say: Haven (HAH-VEN), genius of dignity,grant me the power of the magus. Baglis (BAH-GLISS), genius of measureand balance, grant me the power toexpress my will. Hahabi (HAH-HABI), genius of fear, letthe force of my will overcome allterrors.

Phalgus (FAL-GUSS), genius ofjudgment, grant me clear sight on thepath to victory. Camaysar (CAH-MAY-SAR), genius ofthe marriage of contraries, grant meharmony. Tabris (TAH-BRIS), genius of free will,grant me power over my own domain. Sabrus (SAH-BRUS), sustaining genius,grant me the power to see beauty. Alphun (AL-FUN), genius of the doves,grant me peace.

Zeffak (ZEFF-AK), genius ofirrevocable choice, grant me the powerto create my own immortality. Mastho (MAST-OH), genius of delusiveappearances, grant me the power to seethrough all deception. Eglun (EGG-LUN), genius of lightning,grant me the power to express my willthrough magick. Marnes (MARN-EZ), genius of thediscernment of spirits, grant me thepower to protect myself. Breathe for a moment or two, know thatyou are protected, and then close the

book or put the talisman aside. The ritualis complete. Do not overthink this ritual. You onlyneed to look at the talisman, say thewords and imagine that you have beengranted those qualities. Protectionbegins immediately and strengthens overthe thirty-three days.

The Protection Rituals The remainder of this book is split intotwo sections, each containing a varietyof directed protection rituals. Angelic Protection gives you a simplemethod to protect yourself fromunwanted situations, using nothing morethan a simple sigil and words of power.It is similar to the technique used in mypopular Words of Power book. Workings of Protection contains ritualsfor highly specific purposes. Some ofthese are short and simple, others morecomplex.

You may want to use several protectionsat once. If you feel the need, then you canbegin several rituals on the same day,but you may find it easier to focus andconcentrate if you work on one ritual at atime. Trust your intuition.

Angelic Protections The following seven rituals each containa talisman such as this one:

There is a ring of words around theoutside, written in Hebrew. These wordsappear almost identical, but each onecalls on a different angel. In the center of

the star are two words. One is a word ofpower to activate the ritual. The secondone is the name of the angel. Below the image you will see a list ofWords of Power. If you’ve used theWords of Power book, this is verysimilar, but please read theseinstructions as there are some slightvariations. When you’ve chosen the ritual you wantto use, perform The Sword Banishingand sit alone in a quiet place. Spendsome time thinking about the problemyou want to stop, or the protection youneed. You may find negative feelings getstirred up as you think about the

problem. That’s completely fine. After a few moments, scan your eyesover the circle of letters on the outsideof the talisman, starting at the top andmoving from right to left, anticlockwise.You’re not reading but scanning theletters. You’re letting them sink into yourconsciousness and that is enough. You don’t need to turn the talismanaround to scan the words. It’s fine tolook at the words upside down when youget to the bottom of the image. When youhave scanned all the words around theedge of the circle, pause for a moment,and then imagine what it would feel likeif you had the protection you wanted.

In some cases, this will be a feeling ofrelief or clarity. If, for example, you areusing the ritual to Cleanse A Space, youmight imagine how good it will feel torid the room or house of those negativeenergies. Sometimes, the feelings will be morelike security. If you’re doing magick toprotect your job, then you can imaginewhat it would feel like to know that yourjob is absolutely secure. It would be agood feeling, so let it rise up. Once you have that sense of the resultalready being achieved, look at thewords in the center of the talisman. You

do not need to read them or scan them,but simply gaze at them, and let theshapes of the letters be absorbed intoyour mind. As you do this, let yourfeelings turn to gratitude, as though themagick has already worked. This feelingof gratitude can arise directly from thefeelings of relief, security and protectionyou just created. Don’t try to imagine how the protectionwill work, or what circumstances needto change. Simply concentrate on thefeeling of gratitude you have now thatthe protection is in place, and know thatthe words you are about to speak willthank the angel that performs the workfor you.

Speak the words of power. These arewritten below each talisman, and theyare read as standard English, from left toright. They are almost the same for eachritual. The words that are different arewritten in bold. The very first word is a divine name thatactivates the magick. The second wordis the angel that is called upon in thisritual. You will see that the angel nameappears again as you keep reading thewords. Before you say the words, knowthat you are calling on this angel to bringyou protection, and you are offeringgratitude in advance.

While reading the words out loud simplyfeel grateful that the protection youdesire is already in place. If you are alone and can say the wordsloudly, let them vibrate through yourthroat. It’s as though you are breathingthe words out, letting them rumble upfrom your belly through the back of yourthroat. It’s almost as though you arechanting or singing them. This ‘vibration’ where you let the wordsrumble out of you is not essential, andwill be impossible for many, so if needbe, just say them out loud. If you can’tsay them out loud, whisper them orimagine them, but imagine they are being

bellowed out to the ends of the Universe. Sometimes you may sense a responsefrom the angel, but often you will feelnothing. It doesn’t matter, so long as youhold on to the feeling of gratitude as yousay the words. When you have said the final word youcan close the book and go about yourbusiness. Try not to think about theresults or how they will come about.Look at the articles on my website fordetails on ‘lust for result’ to ensure youdon’t short-circuit the magick, and you’llget the protection you need. Please read the details for each ritual, to

see how many days it needs to beperformed for. When you’ve carried outthe ritual for the set number of days,stop, to show your faith in the magick. I’ve described the process in detail tomake sure you have all the knowledgeyou need, but here is a brief summary: 1. Choose the ritual you want andperform The Sword Banishing. 2. Think about the problem you face andthe protection you need. Allow yourfeelings about this to rise. The feelingsmay be fearful or angry, or they may bemore like wishes and desires forprotection.

3. While holding onto these feelings scanyour eyes around the ring of words onthe talisman, starting at the top, scanninganti-clockwise. 4. Pause, and imagine how it would feelif the magick worked. How would it feelif you had the protection you seek? 5. When you can imagine how good itwould be to have the result, gaze at thewords in the center of the talisman. Asyou do this, let your feeling turn intogratitude. Be grateful that the angel isoffering you the protection you seek. 6. Speak the words of power below

each talisman, reading them like English,from left to right. Feel grateful that theprotection you desire is already in place. 7. Close the book and do something thatstops you thinking about magick for awhile. Do not wonder about how themagick will work or when it will work. 8. Repeat for the set number of days. Ifyou miss a day, simply continue whenyou can until you’ve performed the ritualfor the specified number of days. The protection you seek will now be inplace. Continue with a daily SwordBanishing.

Remove Parasitic Beings There are many types of parasiticentities that can attach themselves to you,from supernatural beings to energy-sapping people. A parasite is somethingthat feeds off your energy. If you feel thepresence of an entity that is haunting you,or if there is a person in your life thatdrains you of energy, this ritual will stopthem. Supernatural parasites come in manyforms, but unless you’re very unlucky,you will only encounter one if you areinvolved in advanced magick. If thatapplies to you, use this ritual.

This ritual, however, is really aimed atstopping the ordinary people who drainenergy from you. Sometimes, peopledrain your energy deliberately, and othertimes they have no idea they are doing it.These people are sometimes thought ofas energy vampires, and if you have onein your life, you will know about it. A parasitic person will be needy,demanding and will make you feel lesslike yourself, with less control of yourdesires and decisions than usual. Youmay feel weak and foggy-headed aroundthem, but you will still give in to theirdemands and requests. You may notnotice the effect while the person isaround, but when they have gone you

may sense that you have been drained. If you suspect that somebody is drainingyour energy, deliberately or otherwise,use this ritual. This will not remove theperson from your life or harm them. Itwill simply stop them feeding off yourenergy. If you make a mistake and pickan innocent person who’s doing nothingwrong, don’t worry, it won’t harm thatperson at all. When scanning the ring of words, picturethe person and think of their name, butdo not say it out loud. Apart from that,carry out the ritual exactly as describedearlier. If you are performing this to getrid of a supernatural being, simply be

aware of the feeling it creates in you andhold that feeling as you scan the ring ofwords. Perform the ritual for five days.

After some time, wesimplified this into the ritual you findhere. Protect Against Accidents Accidents happen and no ritual canprevent them all from happening. Thisritual, though, is one I really likebecause it’s got me out of a lot of near-misses. When accidents have happened,they haven’t been so bad. And I’veavoided a lot of situations that shouldhave been accidents. It felt like I wassaved by an angel at the last moment,because I was. If you are afraid of accidents, or if youlive in a city with particularly baddrivers, or work in a profession that’sdangerous, or have hobbies that involverisks, this is a great ritual to use. Even if

you live a fairly ordinary life, you mightwant to protect yourself anyway. You can think about being generallyprotected from accidents, or you candirect this to give you extra protection ina dangerous profession or sport, whilescanning the ring of words. The magick can be shared easily. If youwant to protect your loved ones, you cansimply think about protecting them asyou read the ring of words, and feelrelief and gratitude that they areprotected. The ritual should be carried out foreleven days, and repeated every year.

It’s also worth repeating if you take up ahobby or job that introduces newdangers into your life.

Protection From Stalkers This might sound like an obscure ritual,but many people suffer from stalking,especially now that the internet givesstalkers easier ways to keep track of youand your movements. If you are actually being stalked andharassed by a person, go to the police. This ritual should be used when yousense that somebody is starting to giveyou more attention than you want, andwhen their behavior begins to feel out ofplace or mildly disturbing. It’s one wayto stop that person turning into a stalker.If you already have a stalker harassing

you, in the real world or online, use theritual immediately. It helps if you know the name and face ofthe person who is stalking you. If you do,picture the face and think the name asyou scan the ring of words. If you do notknow who’s stalking you – say, if you’regetting offensive emails or Facebookmessages – simply think about thefeeling that person creates when you areharassed by them. The ritual does no harm to the person, sofeel free to use it on mildly creepyindividuals who are paying you toomuch attention, as well as morethreatening types who verge on the

This sort of unwanted attentionranges from creepy looks to rudecomments and even subtle physicalassaults. This ritual has been developed to protectpeople of both sexes, to deflect behaviorthat is rude, frightening or simplyunappealing. It helps you to ward offunwanted and dangerous attention, butalso increases your awareness of people

who might cause trouble, so that you cansteer clear of them. It won’t make youparanoid, but will just give you a clearinstinct about unsavory people. I would never want you to let your guarddown because of magick. If you go to awild party and leave your drink for evena moment, it can still be spiked. Use thisritual with caution and remain as alert asever. Those who have used it say that it hasmade for more pleasant evenings.Thankfully, it does not work by makingyou invisible to all onlookers. It makesyou less interesting to people who areaggressive or troublesome.

The Workings of Protection The following Workings of Protectionall use exceptionally rare and powerfultalismans. At the start of each ritual, perform TheSword Banishing. The process for each working is slightlydifferent, but every ritual contains theprocess of Igniting The Talisman. This part of the process is quite simple,and the talismans have been printed inblack, with white letters to make thevisualization process easier.

To ignite a talisman you gaze at thewhole shape of the talismans first. If it isa diamond, look at it as a blackdiamond. If it is a circle, see the blackcircle. Simply gaze passively at theblack shape. You will notice lines andletters but you do not need to payattention to them. After gazing at the talisman for about tenseconds, you should turn your attentionto the white lines and letters. Look at allthe lines and letters without staring, butlook at them with more focus thanbefore. It doesn’t matter what order youdo this in, only that you see every letterand shape that is before you. You are nottrying to read or understand. This is a

way of letting the talisman sink into yourconsciousness. To ignite the talisman, gaze at it withoutfocusing on the letters, but allow theletters to glow bright white. It is asthough diamond starlight is passingthrough the letters and shapes. Let brightlight shine through. Even if you don’t have a goodimagination you should get some senseof white starlight shining through thetalisman. (If your imagination is terrible,it doesn’t matter – just pretend that lightis coming through. It works if youpretend with the same commitment that achild would pretend!)

Stop A Known Enemy Sometimes you know exactly who yourenemy is, and you want to stop them.That doesn’t mean you want to cursethem or cause them harm, but you wantto stop that person from harming you.This can apply to anybody from a bossyou loathe to a rude neighbor, or acolleague who undermines you. It caneven apply to a family member. Thereare times when the people we love arecruel to us and become enemies for atime. Enemies can apply subtle harm orwreck your life. Whatever the case, youcan stop their attacks without causingthem any harm.

The ritual can be used against anybodythat you believe is harming you, and itwill stop them. It does this by takingaway their will to harm you, and makesthem lose interest in causing you pain.As such it can even be used within arelationship to make a partner who hasbecome thoughtless, act with more care. Find a quiet place where you will have afew minutes to yourself. Know that theangel Yolach is named in this talismanand will help to empower the working. Spend a few moments thinking about theperson you consider to be your enemy.Think of the things they have done. Donot try to determine whether their actions

were fair or justified. Only think abouthow you felt, and your reaction to theseincidents. Whether this person makescasual rude remarks, or tries to ruin yourlife, think through the problems until youhave a strong feeling about the harm thisperson has caused you. Think about howmuch you want to put a stop to your pain. Look at the talisman.

Now imagine how good it would feel ifyour enemy stopped hurting you this verymoment. Ignite the talisman. Whileigniting the talisman, feel grateful thatthe protection is in place and that yourenemy is disarmed. Allow that relief tofeel real for a few moments, and thenyou can close the book and continue withyour day. You need to repeat this for three days,but on each day there is a slightvariation. On the first day, when you let yourfeelings and thoughts build, really thinkabout all the ways that the person has

hurt you, and even allow yourself to feelanger, shame, disgust, hatred or anyother strong negative emotions. On the second day, ease some of theemotion out of this. List the things thatthe person has done to you in your mind,and let your emotions arise as they will,but don’t let yourself get too worked up– keep the emotions under control. Feelgratitude that their power to harm youhas been taken away as you ignite thetalisman. On the third day, think about thisperson’s actions against you, butconsider their actions as nothing morethan a foolish mistake. Your enemy

should not have tried to attack you.Know this, and then feel the gratitudethat they have been stopped as you ignitethe talisman. The magick is complete, unless you aredealing with a particularly offensive andcruel enemy. There are times when people dislike youa great deal, and deliberately use everyopportunity to hurt you. This can happenwithin families, at work and in othersocial situations. If you feel thatsomebody has effectively declared waron you – even if nobody else can see theharm that’s being done to you – you canadd this following step to ensure that

your enemy is rendered utterly harmless. The second working is quite involved,and requires you to get access to theenemy’s property (legally), so thismagick is not for everybody. The firstworking will be enough unless there isreal hatred and enmity, so only use thissecond part of the ritual if you reallyneed to. If you do choose to go ahead with this,know that this is powerful angelicmagick, that aims to end a war betweentwo people. Even though the methodsmay seem unusual and extreme, this isone of the most powerful ways to bringpeace between enemies.

When you have completed the first threedays of the working, you can wait awhile to see how the magick hasworked, or you can begin this secondworking the next day. Print out four copies of this talisman.

Ignite each copy of the talisman, one at atime, while picturing your enemy, andallowing any feelings about your enemyto arise. Now take each talisman and roll each itinto a tiny ball of paper. You need to get

these four individual pieces of paperonto the property where your enemylives, in a way that they will not bediscovered. If you live in the property,with the person, it couldn’t be mucheasier, but real enemies usually livesomewhere else. I should say that you must do thisworking within the confines of the law,or you are giving your enemy anopportunity to shame you, or even haveyou arrested. You do not want to breaklaws and you do not want to get caught. You should discreetly enclose the ballsof paper in small pieces of clay. I use aproduct called Daz Pronto, available at

modeling shops, because it dries in theair, quickly. You can use a similarproduct, or you can use anything that actslike clay. I know one magickal workerwho used marzipan, but I don’trecommend that, as you don’t wantanybody to eat your magickal workingsby mistake. If you cannot find a goodsubstitute for clay, the other option is tosimply wet the paper and mash it up,then let it dry into a small hard ball. Whether you use clay, water orsomething else, you will be left withfour tiny balls that need to make theirway onto your enemy’s home property.Make sure they are dry before you begin.

It’s not too difficult to throw them into anenemy’s garden, but be aware that manypeople have CCTV installed, and thatdeliberately littering their property ispossibly illegal. Here are the options I prefer to use: Option 1: Visit the enemy. Often, ourreal enemies are people we areentwined with, and so a visit is nothingout of the ordinary. My former mother-in-law was a truly cruel woman, but Ihad easy access to her house. Whilevisiting, it was easy to dispose of thefour clay ‘stones’ around the house,pushing them into pot-plant soil, puttingthem onto the top of cupboards where

they were out of sight, and so on. Option 2: Post something to the enemy –such as a lovely book or gift –anonymously, and package it withscrunched up newspaper. Hide your‘stones’ inside the newspaper. They willalmost certainly stay on the property for24 hours. If you know what day the trashis collected from that property, it’s eveneasier to make sure the talisman stoneswill remain in place for a full day. Option 3: Jog past (in a subtle disguise)and hurl the clay stones over the fence,into the garden. Risky and possiblyillegal, but still the one I like best. Idon’t really advise this one, even though

I’ve done it reasonably often. (If youever do anything like this, use the sort ofmisdirection that a card magician woulduse. Magicians always hide a smallsecret move with a larger move, so theeye is directed to the unimportantmovement. So if your right hand isflicking the stones over the fence,simultaneously bring up your left hand torun it through your hair. Even ifsomebody’s watching you closely, theywill follow the large motion of yourinnocent left hand, not the small motionof your right hand as it flicks the stonesaway.) If none of these methods are going towork, you can think of your own, or

there is a final method I can suggest.Instead of making the clay stones,carefully burn the talismans, takingextreme care not to burn yourself or setfire to your house. When the ashes havecooled mix then into a small amount ofwater. Stir well, and you should have afew drops of black water. Pour thisoutside the door of your enemy, so thatwhen they leave the house, they willtread in the ashes. Pure ash blows away,but the liquid form tends to stick. This working is far more involved thanmost of the magick I use, so only use thissecond half of the ritual if there is anabsolute war between you and the otherparty. In most cases, the first part of the

ritual is all you will need.

Cancel A Curse Or SupernaturalAttack

If you fear that you have been cursed orare experiencing a supernatural attack,this is the most powerful method I knowto repel a curse, when used inconjunction with The Sword Banishingand The Master Protection Ritual. The only catch is that you have to workwith this talisman for 33 days. Cursescan be casual and yet powerful. Theycan be carefully constructed and filledwith defenses. Supernatural attacks takemany forms, and can even come fromnothing more than sheer hatred. As such,you need to repel the curse for 33 days.

If you suspect that you have been cursed,or if you feel that somebody wishes yougreat harm, or sense that any spell ormagickal work has been set against you,use this talisman for 33 days.

At any time during the day or night, finda time when you can be alone andundisturbed. Quiet helps. Do not thinkabout the details of the curse – the eventsthat have happened, or the evidence youhave of supernatural attack – but thinkabout what it feels like to be cursed.Notice any physical or emotionalsensations this brings up. Now ignite thetalisman. This is quite a detailedtalisman, so take the time to let lightshine through every white part of theimage. As you do so, the feeling of thecurse should lift slightly. After you’ve been working with this fora week, you should begin to treat the

curse as a memory rather than somethingthat is ongoing, so think about how itused to feel to be cursed, then ignite thetalisman and let the feeling of reliefcome. Act as though the curse issomething in your past even if you seeevidence of the curse being present inyour life. Pushing it into the past in thisway, with a deliberate act ofimagination, is extremely powerful anduntangles the complexities that can holda curse in place. In most cases, this is all you will needand the curse will be gone. If you still see evidence of a curse when33 days are up, it may be that you are

being repeatedly attacked. This is veryrare, but as mentioned before, it hashappened to me. It happens so rarely thatI hardly even want to mention it, but ifyou see obvious evidence of a repeatedattack, simply begin again. Repeat for 33days, and eventually your attacker willgive up. When used a second time on thesame person or group, the talismanworks even faster, and can render futureattempts at cursing you futile. It doesn’tjust stop the attack, but prevents newattacks from occurring. If you are ever cursed, it’s highlyunlikely you’ll need to use this more thanonce.

Become Less Conspicuous There are many times when you maywant to be less conspicuous. Althoughthis type of magick is used by criminalsto avoid being observed by theauthorities, I don’t recommend that youuse it for that type of work. Keep itlegal. The real purpose of this magick isto make you less noticeable when youfeel you are being observed too closelyby somebody who could bring you harm. In particular, this magick is useful inmessy divorce cases, or when anyrelationship ends. It can make the otherperson lose interest in you rapidly,rather than have them monitoring your

every move. You will become less conspicuous to allpeople, but if you aim the ritual at aspecific person, most of the energy willbe directed there. You can even aim it atthe particular department of a company.Imagine that Human Resources havetheir eye on you, and want to lose someworkers. You have a choice. You canmake yourself shine radiantly and try toshow how worthy you are of keeping thejob, or if you would just rather be offtheir radar, use this talisman against thewhole Human Resources department,and they’ll barely notice that you exist. This magick will have the effect of

making you generally less noticeable inthe world. Friends may pass you in thestreet, for example. If your job involvesyou being famous or visible in someway, this magick should be used onlywhen needed. Thankfully, you can tune the magick towork for the exact length of time that youneed it to work. If you only want it towork for a day, it will work for a day. Ifyou need a month or a year, you can getthat.

All you need to do is think about aperiod of time as you ignite the talisman.Think about the coming day, week,month, year or whatever length ofprotection you want. You don’t evenneed to think about the actual protectionyou’re seeking. Just think about a periodof time and ignite the talisman. That willdo the work. If you want more than a year you shouldrepeat the magick in 12 months. If there’s a particular person, departmentor organization that you want to remainhidden from, you should also picture thatperson, department or organization

clearly, and think about their name whileigniting the talisman. Again, you do notneed to think about being lessconspicuous – just think about the targetof your magick and the length of time youwant it to work for.

Protection Against Hacking andIdentity Theft

This is a talisman that we developedourselves, based on an ancient amulet, tocall on entities that are directlyconnected to electricity andcommunication. We have found that itworks extremely well at protecting youfrom any form of hacking or identitytheft. The talisman was created because,despite using all the protection magickthat we already use, many of usexperienced various forms of credit cardfraud and identity theft in the pastdecade. Since we started using this

talisman, two years ago, nobody hasbeen affected. As with all our work, ithas been field-tested on a trusted groupof occultists, and all have had the sameresults. As always, you should make sure you doeverything you can in the mundane worldto secure your computer and protect youridentity.

To activate the talisman you should thinkabout all the computer devices you use,from iPads to Desktops, publiccomputers and Wi-Fi connections. Thinkabout the sorts of places you use creditcards or services such as PayPal.Consider this for just a minute or so,dispassionately – you do not need tocreate any emotion. Now ignite thetalisman and as you do so, know thatyour identity is protected wherever youinteract with electronic devices. We aren’t certain how long thisprotection lasts, so we suggest repeatingit once a year.

Protection While Travelling When you travel you need protectionfrom theft, accidents, illness, delays,getting lost, losing documents and manyother kinds of inconvenience. I travel alot, so I use this talisman every time I setout on a journey that’s going to last morethan a day. It is one of the simplest talismans toactivate. Two days before your journeybegins, picture the journey you are goingto embark upon. Ignite the talisman, andcontinue to picture the journey. You donot need to perform a visualizationcovering every detail. Simply imaginearriving at your destination, travelling

from place to place, and returning homein one piece with a smile on your face.This should take less than three minutes.Even if you don’t know exactly whereyou’re going, as is often the case, justpicture a rough approximation of yourjourney. It will still work.

Perform the ritual for two days beforeyou leave, and then for a third time justmoments before you leave your house(or if that’s not possible) find a timeduring the early part of your journey toactivate the talisman for the third time. If you go on a last-minute trip and haveno time to prepare, activate the talismanas described, on each of the first threedays. Some people also activate the talismanonce more, the day before the returnflight or the start of the return journey. Ihave never felt the need to do so, but theoption is there if it makes you feel better.

Again, just picture the remainder of yourjourney with the required images as youignite the talisman.

Protect Family and Loved Ones I get many requests from people toprotect their families and loved ones.Several of the rituals in this book can bedirected at other people. You can, forexample, consider your whole familywhile you picture travelling safely, whenyou do the travel ritual. There are times, though, when you maywant to protect those you love andmembers of your family. This may betriggered by a sudden fear, or just ageneral wish to protect.

Think about the people you love as youignite the talisman. You only need topicture them, and imagine how good itfeels to be around them and how muchyou love them – you do not actually needto think about protecting them. Thetalisman will do that for you. Spend at least two minutes, and up tofive minutes, igniting this talisman, andrepeat for five days. The talisman cannotprotect your loved ones from all harm,as discussed earlier, but it can make lifemuch safer. It’s worth repeating this oncea year.

Protection from Violence This ritual is aimed at protecting youfrom violence, especially if you live in arough area, or have to pass through one.It can also be used to reduce the chanceof violence in the home, but when itcomes to domestic violence I alwayssuggest getting out of there and getting tothe police before you do anything else. I do know some people, however, whohave told me that it takes time to plan anescape from a violent relationship, andso a talisman like this can be used duringthat time, so long as your aim is to getaway from the source of violence.

The main aim of the talisman is toprevent people from attacking youphysically or verbally. It can protect youfrom robbery, road rage and assaults ofall kinds.

To activate the talisman, spend sometime in a quiet place thinking about thedangers you have seen, or the things youfear, or the particular person you areafraid of. Let your emotions rise up,even if they are strongly negative.Experience the fear and know that youwant it to be gone. Now imagine how good it would feel ifthe talisman offered you a completeshield against violence. Ignite thetalisman and feel grateful for the safety itoffers. Imagine going to the places youhave feared, or being with the peopleyou have feared, and as the talismanglows, feel grateful that you are now

protected. This should take about two minutes, andyou should repeat this for eleven days. As always, don’t go looking for troubleor take risks, but if you simply go aboutyour business, this talisman will keepyou safe. Some people live in truly war-tornareas, and need extreme protection. Thefollowing talisman is meant to protectcivilians who live in violent or war-tornplaces. It will not protect those who arefighting, so only use it if you are acivilian living in an area that is plaguedby war, gangs or mobs of any

description.

The process is the same as above.Picture the violence you fear, imaginehow good it would be to have a shield ofprotection, ignite the talisman, and fortwo minutes feel grateful for the safetyyou are now experiencing. This ritualshould be repeated for three days everymonth.

Stop Gossip and Rumours This talisman can be used to stop gossipand rumours. Apart from beingunpleasant, rumours can ruin yourreputation and damage your career.Gossip can make you unattractive topeople, and sadly, when people spreadlies about you, other people will oftenbelieve those lies. Liars should besilenced.

There are two ways to use this talisman.If you know that a specific person isspreading false stories about you, orgenerally slandering you, picture thatperson talking. Picture them telling liesabout you, and let your anger and disgustbuild. Then imagine that person’s mouthfreezing up so they can no longer speak.This should make you feel some relief,so ignite the talisman and feel gratefulthat the gossip has been stopped. If you know that lies are being spread,but you don’t know the source, or if yoususpect several people are talking aboutyou unfairly, repeat the above exercise,but instead of picturing a specific

person, simply bring up your ownfeelings and the pain you experiencewhen you know that lies are being told.Then imagine the relief of having thegossip stop, and ignite the talisman asyou feel gratitude for the power of themagick. Whichever method you use, repeat thisfor three days.

Take Power From A Bully There are bullies at work, home andeven within groups of friends. Bulliescan be direct, loud, or so subtle thatnobody would ever believe you if youspoke up about being victimized. Bullies are cowards who feed off yoursuffering. This talisman doesn’t silencethe bully directly or remove them fromyour life, but it makes the bullyextremely confused about you. It willconfuse their feelings into a mix of fearand admiration. The confusion takesaway the bully’s power, as they nolonger feel like they have the upperhand. This is a crafty form of magick that

works to disarm a bully quickly.

Picture the person who has bullied youas though they are standing directly infront of you. Imagine looking into theireyes. Imagine that person’s name beingspoken as a tiny whisper. Now imagineyour own name being shouted out soloudly that it confuses the bully - you canimagine your name literally thunderingdown from the heavens. Ignite the talisman and after about aminute, picture the bully again, but nowimagine that person being confused,looking around in bewilderment and thenslowly turning around and walking awayfrom you. Feel relief and gratitude as thebully walks away from you in confusion.

Perform this ritual for two days.

Protect Your Home This ritual is designed to protect yourhome from thieves, but also to give it thebest possible protection during stormsand other incidents that could causedamage. It works whether you rent aroom, share an apartment or live in alarge house. Sit in a quiet place in your home. Thinkabout when you moved into the home,and all the years that you have livedthere. If you were born there, you mighthave a lot of memories, but this alsoworks if you’ve only been there for onefull day and night. You simply need tothink about the time you have spent in the

home, and remember times that you haveeaten there, slept there and times whenother people have been in the house.This doesn’t need to be detailed, andonly needs to take a minute or two. Youare simply getting a feeling for yourhome.

Ignite the talisman, and after about twominutes, imagine the light from thetalisman beaming out to all theboundaries of your home – the walls, theceiling, the floor. You can even extendedthis light outside, to the actual boundaryof your property. Know that your homeis protected by angelic power, and feelgrateful for your safety, as you let thelight of the talisman fade away. Perform this ritual for three days andrepeat it every year.

Protect Your Possessions FromThieves

This ritual protects the possessions youcarry with you, such as phones, purses,wallets, packages, watches or anythingelse of value. The magick works byrepelling thieves, so they don’t evencome near you.

Find a place where you can be alone andimagine holding three gold coins in yourleft hand. Close your hand around theseimaginary coins so that your hand is afist. Now ignite the talisman, and feelgrateful that all the valuable objects youtouch will remain within your grasp.This ritual can be performed in less thana minute. Perform the ritual for eleven days, andrepeat it every three years. If you are ever particularly concernedabout a new item that you havepurchased, you can repeat the ritual, andas you ignite the talisman, picture the

new object held firmly in your hands andfeel grateful that it is now safe.

Protection Against Influence There are some people who can havetoo much influence on your life. Thismight be a domineering parent, acontrolling partner, a co-worker, or justa friend that has a strong influence overyou. This ritual will ensure that you areable to make your own decisions,without being overly influenced byothers. The ritual also works if you are the sortof person that is susceptible to thethoughts and feelings of others. Somepeople find that they pick up anotherperson’s mood – almost like catching adisease. Others find that they are so

empathetic towards people that it’sdifficult to hold onto their own sense ofidentity. This ritual will ensure that youcan retain any psychic abilities you haveand remain empathetic, without losingyour own sense of self.

Sit alone for a few minutes, and thensimply ignite the talisman. This isprobably the easiest of all the rituals.Keep the talisman lit up for about aminute. Perform the ritual for elevendays. In most cases, the ritual does not need tobe repeated, but you can do so at anytime, if you feel the need for a strongersense of self.

I do notthink this is really required, but I get somany questions about pronunciation thatit is provided in case you struggle with aword. Do not feel the need to go through andcheck everything. if you are genuinely uncertain oruneasy with your pronunciation. Remember that the CH sound is alwayslike the ch in Scottish loch or Germanachtung. If you struggle, replace everyspoken CH with a K.

Words from The Sword Banishing

YOHACH Yohach is pronounced YO-HACH. YO sounds like no, but with a y insteadof an n.

HACH sounds similar to hack, but withthe CH sound discussed in the previouschapter. If you struggle with the CH sound, thensimply say hack. After some practice you should run thissounds together, so that you haveYOHACH, or if you struggle with theCH sound, then you can use YOHACK.

KALACH Kalach is pronounced KAL-ACH. KAL sounds like pal but with a k instead

of a p. ACH sounds like back without the b,using the CH sound discussedpreviously. If you struggle with the CH sounds, thenyou can simply say ack. After some practice you should run thesesounds together, so that you haveKALACH. If you struggle with the CHsound, then you can use KALAK. These seven divine names are also usedin the banishing.

AV-GEE-TATZ

AV sounds like the second half of have.GEE sounds like bee but with a g. TATZis read as tat with a z sound at the end.

CAR-ASS-TAN Car is pronounced like the beginning ofcart. ASS sounds like pass without thep. TAN is read exactly as it sounds.

NAG-DEE-CHESH NAG sounds exactly as spelt - nag. DEEsounds just like the letter d. CHESHbegins with the CH sound discussed

earlier in the chapter on pronunciation.ESH sounds like mesh without the m.

BAT-RATZ-TAG Bat sounds like bat. RATZ sounds likethe English rats but with the s extendedinto a z sound. In most cases, saying ratsis fine. TAG sounds like tag.

CHAK-VET-NAH The CH sound is the pronunciationdiscussed earlier, followed by AK,which is like jack without the j. If youstruggle with the CH sound, change the
