Memorable Events On of the most memorable events in my life was when I started horseback riding lessons. All my life I loved horses but this was the first time I had ever gotten to ride one. I started lessons when I was in first grade. My first horse show was that year. I competed in three events: barrel racing, egg and spoon race, and junior dressage. I have come a long way since then. I recently competed in my first drill team competition. I am glad my family has allowed me to follow my dream of someday owning my own horse and competing in state competitions.

When I grow up, I want to have a job helping animals.

I might start a animal shelter. At the animal shelter, I would help make sure each and every animal found the perfect home. I would make sure all the animals were healthy before I would let them be adopted. I think I would feel good finding animals happy homes. When my family found a stray cat last summer we gave it a home, and that made me really happy. I think owning an animal shelter would be the perfect job for me. I can start volunteering at our local animal shelter when I am twelve. Only one more year to wait!
