VACUUM BREAKER :

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION :

Vacuum Breaker valve is designed for internal negative pressure of 50 mm of Hg. The Valve consists of a

long tubular float, which sits tightly inside and does not allow either passage of water from inside to outside

or of air from outside to inside. When there is development of negative pressure internally to the tune of 50

mm Hg, the float drops down and allows air to rush inside vessel, thus breaking vacuum.
