Lakshmi Ananthakrishnan, a B High Carnatic Vocalist of All India Radio, Chennai.
Mahathi is quite at ease in playing a number of Varnams and Krithis ofSri. Muthuswamy Dikshithar, Sri. Thyagaraja Swamigal, Sri. Shyama Sastri, Sri. Patnam Subramanya Iyer, Sri. Papanasam Sivan, Oothukadu Sri Venkata Subbier,Sri. Purandhara Dasar, Sri. Periasamy Thooran, Sri. Annamacharya, Sri. Muthu Thandavar,Thanjavur Sri. Shankar Iyer, Mayooram Sri. Viswanatha Sastri, Sri. Gopalakrishna Bharathi.

The key board concert of eight years old Mahathi held in Sri Rathnagereeswarar Temple in Besant Nagar recently, lingers in the minds of music lovers who attended it.
She is a gifted child and the control she had on the instrument and the perfection she displayed was amazing. The motivation and guidance given to her at this tender age deserves special appreciation. The efforts and the training provided by her guru Martin are commendable. Given encouragement and the guidance, today’s children can rise to any level – Mahati is an example.
