MAHINDRA PRIDE SCHOOL A six day training program was conducted on Personality Development for the MBA second year students at D. Y. Patil Institute of Management, Ambi starting from 24 th September-01 st October 2108 for the whole day by the professional trainer “Mrs. Ketki Anand. This session was organized in order to make the students familiarized with the current demand of the industry in the 21 st century context. The Programme also aimed to teach students to work with various professionals, people and groups to understand the meaning of life and work in the current context; to boost their communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to function in professional and social settings effectively; to develop the academic language skills for writing and presentations; to understand effective planning, time management and implementation for setting goals and achieving both personal and professional objectives; to learn to evaluate oneself (self-appraisal and introspection) for further growth, personally as well as professionally.

MAHINDRA PRIDE SCHOOL

A six day training program was conducted on Personality Development for the

MBA second year students at D. Y. Patil Institute of Management, Ambi starting

from 24th September-01

st October 2108 for the whole day by the professional

trainer “Mrs. Ketki Anand”. This session was organized in order to make the

students familiarized with the current demand of the industry in the 21st century

context.

The Programme also aimed to teach students to work with various professionals,

people and groups to understand the meaning of life and work in the current

DAY 1

First day of training started with the general introduction and interaction between

students and the trainer. For better self-assessment, each student was asked to do

the CREATIVE NAME MAKING for themselves wherein they have to showcase

their high creativity for presenting themselves in front of the others. The agenda

behind doing this activity was to make each one of them aware that everyone is

unique and creative in their own way. The SWOT analysis activities were also

being conducted for the students to analyze themselves better.

DAY 2

The second session was conducted based on use of NEWSPAPERS. It was a group

activity and team work wherein students were asked to frame a group and make a

tallest material or thing with the proper use of newspapers. Thus, youth were

taught to make the best use of the waste papers. Sessions were also organized on

maintaining personal hygiene, body language for presenting oneself before others

and importance of discipline in one’s life.

DAY 3

On third day, poster making competition was organized in the seminar hall for the

students on the nation building causes and its effects on the country and people as a

whole. Groups were formed randomly and were asked to make posters on several

topics given based on Nation Building activity and also to suggest measures and

remedies to overcome the problems faced in the society.

DAY 4

Day fourth was based on Time Management activities were videos were shown to

the students to make the proper use of the time in their life. They were taught the

value of each and every second of their life and how every second can be utilized

to make money. Different motivational stories and videos were shared with the

students to make them aware and guide them to make proper use of time.

DAY 5

During the fifth day session, students were given on the spot topics to share their

views and increase their confidence level while public speaking. Debate

competition was also done dividing the students into two teams speaking for and

against the given topic. Gender sensitization was also being taught to make them

concern about the gender equality in the society.

DAY 6

This was the last day of the session which was planned to be interactive and career

building session. First phase was the learning session where students were given

the ideas of resume building and group discussions were performed. During the

second phase, face to face interview round was organized for preparing them for

industry and current requirements of the candidates in the market.
