Established in 1985 as the Scientific Research and Engineering Center for Aircraft Engines, within the former INCREST, COMOTI becomes in 1996 the “National Researchand Development Institute for Gas Turbines, COMOTI”, as a result of its assessment and certification.
COMOTI is the only specializedcompany that integrates suchactivities as scientificresearch, design, manufacturing, testing, experimental activities, technologic transfer and innovation in the field of aircraft and industrial gasturbines and high speed bladed machinery.

For oil and gas, by using specialequipments– turbo compressors and electrical compressors necessary to the compression, pumping stations belongingto OMV PETROM and Distrigaz, such as: SP TICLENI, SP VINTU, SP TURBUREA, SP SUPLACU DE BARCAU.
Before COMOTI’s equipment was available,such special units were imported. By developing a partnership with GHH Rand, COMOTI deliver on oil and gas marketscrew compressor and screw compressorpackages in a wide range of pressures and flow rates.
It also made various repairs for turbine engines, respectively importedcomponents type DEMAG, CENTAC, VRK, etc.

(used to increase the amount of oil extracted by underground combustion), which have exceeded 1,000,000 hours
with an average utilization factor of about 90%.

Since 1999 GHH RAND and Comoti- cooperate in the gas compression business- GHH RAND’s oil injected CU- and CF-series have been the heart of Comoti’s gas applications- Effective January 2009 Comoti exclusively manufactures and supplies the CU-series basis a license agreement- Licence agreement renewed in 2014 for more 4 years- Since 1999 Comoti is taking customer’s requests on all kinds of compressed gas applications- COMOTI project is to extend the existing gas turbines portofolio with 6 MW output class in order to cover national market needs in partnership with GHH Rand and MAN TURBO

New Projects
• HIGH PRESSURE SCREW COMPRESSOR CHP 220
• Responding to requests from both internal and external beneficiaries, INCDT - Comoti developed in self conception and in collaboration with City University and GHH –Rand, screw compressor with oil injection, type CHP 220.
• The project ended with a prototype that has been tested in stand - on air at Comoti test bench
• The prototype fulfills all requirements of functional and constructive design.
• Nominal parameters: -suction pressure 4,5 bar -discharge pressure 45 bar -flow 5,000 Nm3/hour (1500 rpm ) -volumetric ratio 4,8
New Projects
• EXPANDER GROUP- ELECTRIC GENERATOR
• Producing the green energy by recovering the energy detention in the lamination process of the natural gas (mechanical energy can be recovered and converted into electrical energy) using a turbo-generator
• The solution can be implemented in any regulating and measurement station of gas natural transport
• The prototype fulfills all requirements of functional and constructive design and it is already installed at Trans Gaz Onesti
• Nominal parameters in this case: -suction pressure 20 bar -discharge pressure 3.5 bar -flow 6,000 Nm3/hour (1500 rpm ) -electrical power 180 kW
