Winnekenni Castle, is an historic landmark in Haverhill Massachusetts. Constructed in 1875 of stone harvested from the surrounding area, Dr. James R. Nichols built the Castle as his summer home. Today, this picturesque venue serves as cultural center which hosts public and private events, from mid-April through mid-December each year.

The Castle is located within a public park that encompasses more than 200 acres of conservation land. Activities include hiking, riding, picnics and recreation. The Castle’s Season Schedule features numerous public events, many are free admission.

On most Sunday afternoons, the Castle presents concerts, children’s shows, theatre, faires, festivals and more! Annual events include a July 4th Pancake Breakfast, a Wine & Cheese Evening, Chowderfest, Haunted Castle, Children’s Halloween Day, Cocoa with Santa, Winter Holiday Concert, Craft & Gift Faire and a Holiday Gala!

Welcome to the Tattersall FarmThe Tattersall Farm was owned and operated by the Tattersall Family for almost the entire twentieth century. The surviving family member, Mary Alice Tattersall, died in 1999, and in her will entrusted her family’s 150 acre farm to the City of Haverhill, imposing specific conservation and open space preservation restrictions to this gift, so that the Tattersall Farm would be preserved and maintained as close as possible to the state of condition it was at the time of her death.

At the same time she granted managerial rights to the Tattersall Farm Charitable Foundation Trust, which is obligated to preserve the Tattersall Farm, to protect its wildlife and conservation interests, and to inform and educate persons on matters relating to farming and environmental conservation.

The Tattersall Farm offers: 19th century plantings, working hayfields, rolling meadows, and open and wooded paths for passive recreational activities such as walking, jogging, and cross-country skiing. Due to the need to protect the wildlife inhabiting the farm, dogs and other pets are prohibited.

Located at 542 North Broadway, the farm is open daily during daylight hours.
