SEASON UNDERWRITERSPATRICIA KORDIS When my friends ask, “Are you bored with nothing to do?” I say, “The theatrical community is thriving like nobody’s business!” Sarasota has embraced all forms of exciting artistic culture, and Florida Studio Theatre is leading the pack. I am so happy to be a part of this movement. Jump in – the water’s fine!DENNIS & GRACI MCGILLICUDDY FST is important to us because we believe so strongly in the transformative power of the arts. For close to 30 years now, we have been so fortunate to experience first-hand how that transformative power works its magic in the hands of an organization that is not only experienced and dedicated, but so highly skilled in their craft. The values of the theater and its leadership, as reflected in its mission and as manifested in its work, whether it be on the Mainstage, in the Cabaret, in its Education and community outreach programs - these are values that we so strongly believe in. As a consequence, it is a privilege for us to be a part of, and be supportive of this great theatre.

PATRICK & MARY MULVA We discovered FST upon moving to Sarasota this past July, and were so impressed with the role it plays in providing diverse quality theatre to the community that we knew we wanted to be a part of this venture. We are delighted to be among the Underwriters for 2018-19 Season, and look forward to many new and different offerings in the years ahead.ANNE H.S. NETHERCOTT (1926-2019) When asked to define giving, Anne said: “My mother used to say the best way to find you is to lose yourself, by focusing on the needs of others rather than on oneself.” So giving has always been an important family value, which in childhood was reinforced by the community experience of surviving The Depression. Anne is proud to be a supporter of FST.The HERALD-TRIBUNE MEDIA GROUP enjoys a history in this community that spans more than 90 years. Partnering with organizations such as Florida Studio Theatre allows us to contribute to our region’s rich creative culture in Sarasota, Bradenton, and Venice providing an unparalleled media landscape through the newspaper, HeraldTribune.com.

Recognizes our Gold Circle members for their commitment to the Art of FST, establishing an endowed fund to support cherished programs for life.

CO-PRODUCERSPHILIP & SUZAN GAYNES Throughout our married life together, we’ve made it a point to attend as much theater as we possibly can. That wasn’t always easy due to affordability. Back in the days when I was a medical resident in New Haven, Connecticut, my salary was $100 per month. But that didn’t stop us from going to the theater. The Schubert Theater in New Haven was the venue where “out-of-town” openings took place. For $2 a ticket, you could sit in the last row of the balcony and see pre-Broadway shows. Fast-forward to retiring in Sarasota and feasting on all of the live theater offerings. What particularly impressed us about FST was the first-rate talent, the very professional level of the productions, and the commitment to keep ticket prices affordable.

It is our great privilege at this time in our lives to support FST and help sustain its commitment to make live theater affordable for everyone.GULF COAST COMMUNITY FOUNDATION Together with our donors, Gulf Coast Community Foundation transforms our region through bold and proactive philanthropy. Gulf Coast is a public charity that was created in 1995 through the sale of the Venice Hospital. Since then, we have become the philanthropic home of more than 700 families who have established charitable funds here, and we have invested over $300 million in grants in the areas of health and human services, civic and economic development, education, arts and culture, and the environment.
