DIGITAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR MICRO-ENTERPRISES HAS

BEEN IMPLEMENTED THROUGH VARIOUS PROGRAMMES

These programmes, although effective, have limited reach and/or sustainability

o RM1,000 grant from MCMC for SMEs to set

up online presence.

o 34,040 recipients in 2013

o Training on Digital Marketing since 2010

o Over 1,000 micro-entrepreneurs trained

o Netpreneur series in 2013 for women

o ICT component included in entrepreneur

development programmes

Digital Entrepreneurship must move from the fringes to

the mainstream for nationwide impact to the Rakyat
