2. PNEUMATICAL CONTROLS AND SETTINGS

2.1. Control and setting of Flow Rate The flow-rate is factory pre-set.

If however it requires adjustment, proceed as follows:

● Plug in air supply (between 4 and 10 bar);

● Connect a control flowmeter to probe output or to test outlet (T) (if equipped with optional safety valve and whenever bubbling probe can be isolated with a valve; in this case, simply close probe).

● Setting is performed with a screwdriver on the needle screw (item 7 on overall view of installation manual 322381) after loosening the lock nut (7 mm crescent wrench)

Loosening the screw increases the flow rate while tightening it decreases the flow rate.

SETTING IS ADEQUATE WHEN FLOW RATE IS BETWEEN 8 AND 10 L/HR:

● Tighten lock nut after setting;

● Connect CT801 to bubbling probe or open isolating valve.

2.2. Control of Safety Valve (Optional)

a) Operation of safety valve is controlled as follows:

● Connect to supply inlet a pressure reducing valve capable of setting supply pressure between 0 and 2 bar;

● Connect a control flowmeter to probe output or to Test outlet (T), if the bubbling probe can be isolated with a valve.

● Increase supply pressure by increments of 100 mbar. Below 1 bar, the valve will remain closed and no air flow will appear at probe output.

Above 1.2 (± 0.1 bar), the valve opens and air flow appears at probe output.

b) Proper sealing of valve is controlled as follows:

● Connect a pressure reducing valve with pressure gauge to probe output or to Test outlet (T) and increase pressure to 0.5 bar; then isolate with an airtight valve;

● Shut off pressure supply of CT801.

● Check that pressure is maintained constant at 0.5 bar. If valve is not airtight, the pressure gauge will drop after a few minutes. In this case, servicing of the CT801 transmitter is necessary.

3.1. Top View of Electronic Transmitter Board

3.2. Connections Connections are checked against the diagram shown in §6 of the CB322381 Installation Manual.

3.3. Power Supply From 18 to 33 V/cc or from 18 to 28 V/cc through a ZENER barrier.

3.4. Maximum Load Impedance See diagram § 6.2 of CB322381 Installation Manual.

3.5. Zero and Scale Zero and scale settings can be modified within the limits of the scale range marked on the CT801 identification plate and shown in the table below.

Proceed as follows to perform these settings:

● Unscrew CT801 cap after removing safety pin (3 mm hex socket wrench).

● Connect a voltmeter as shown in §8.2 of installation manual.

● CT801 transmitter is supplied with air (4 to 10 bar).

● ZERO SETTING: with sensor tube end outside, set current at 4 mA (i.e. 400 mV on voltmeter) with potentiometer P2 (Item "z");

● SCALE SETTING: Increase level in tank up to maximum height. Once bubbling is established, set current I=20 mA (i.e. 2V on voltmeter) with potentiometer P1 (item "E"); or use static method described into §8.2 of CB322381 Installation Manual;

● Check stability of zero setting;

● Set scale again if necessary.

4. CONTROL AND SETTING OF INDICATORS

Refer to manuals for concerned equipment.
