Objectives of the data schema

• AutomainML data schema :à XML format using the rules of railml.org (railML 2.1)à coded in a XSD file

• Objectives :à standard for manufacturersà covers the complete process

• Data schemaà information on the life cycle of the taskà links to the Infrastructure dataà « statuses » to understand how was managed the task

Architecture The automainml.xsd file is a copy of the railml.xsd file adding the section “maintenance”.

Details of the automainML schema

• For a sub schema, two files are used

à Maintenance.xsd which includes the element

à MaintenanceTypes.xsd which includes the types, group of attributes, list of restricted values (enums)

• The namespace used is prefixed, and the prefix used for the maintenance task is “automain”.

• The current namespace used is “http://www.automain.eu/schemas” and the three files (automain.xsd, maintenance.xsd and maintenanceTypes.xsd) are available on the web at this URL.

• To link the data from the other sub schema, use a reference (tGenericRef) and the global reference of the sub schema.

Example: in the element <maintenance> we use the attribute “infrastructureRef” to link to the infrastructure railML file. Then, in the maintenance railML file, the element <asset ref=”OSW12”> links a reference “OSW12”which is unique in the infrastructure railML file.
