Welcome Message
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Coloproctology 2016 to be held in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur.
The Organising Committee has put in great efforts to plan an interesting programme for the benefit of everyone. Common day-to-day surgical conditions as well as specialised areas in colorectal surgery and advances in colorectal surgery will be covered in this conference.
The pre-congress workshop will address common colorectal procedures as well as newer horizons in colorectal surgery. Particular emphasis has been given to advances in laparosocopic colorectal procedures using latest technologies.
Along with renowned Malaysian faculty, internationally well-known colorectal surgeons have been invited to share their knowledge and expertise during this meeting.
The scientific programme, I am certain, will benefit general surgeons, colorectal surgeons, trainee surgeons as well as those pursing sub-speciality in colorectal surgery.
This three-day conference will give ample opportunities to our members to interact with faculty members, exchange ideas and update our knowledge.
Amidst this three-day hectic meeting, I do hope our foreign participants and faculty will find some time to explore this culturally rich city of Kuala Lumpur.
I would like take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to my fellow committee members for their support and untiring efforts in putting this programme together.
Dr M Sarkunnathas President, Malaysian Society of Colorectal Surgeons (MSCRS) &Organising Chairman, Coloproctology 2016
