Heat Continues Through Midweek…OVERVIEW

Hot and humid conditions will combine to produce maximum heat index values ranging from the mid 90s to low 100s through Wednesday for much of the Tri-State area.

Advisories have been expanded east across northern Suffolk County.

Heat index values will be highest across northeastern NJ, NYC, interior southern CT and the Lower Hudson Valley.

There is an increased risk of heat related illness with prolonged outdoor activity.

Nighttime temperatures in the mid to upper 70s in the NY/NJ metro area and around 70 elsewhere.
