Pilot proposal: Place one dispenser at Ormond-Grant Park park
n Proposed location: Grant St. park entrance from playground
n Maximum visibility to park patrons and neighborhood walkers
n Distance and higher grade topography from playground expected to:
n Deter small kids or vandals from rubbing sunscreen on the equipment
n Mitigate children getting sunscreen without an adult’s help
n Councilwoman Carla Smith, Grant Park Neighborhood Association, and Friends of Ormond-Grant Park have approved and support pilot;

Maintenance, sustained funding, and citizen interest will be key to the pilot’s success
Maintenance §Daily monitoring by volunteers from Make Big Change and neighborhood Girl Scout troops
§ Clean daily§ Refill sunscreen and change batteries as needed (Make Big Change)
§Damaged faceplates replaced by Bright Guard §Defective dispensers replaced by Bright Guard (excluding theft/vandalism)
Donations / Future funding§Make Big Change will donate:
§ Dispenser + Pole + Batteries § 1 case of Sunscreen
§Corporate sponsorships and local donations (e.g. Friends of Ormond-Grant Park) will fund future sunscreen / battery refills
