Abstract

The purpose of study is through the Make in India project not only manufacturing units are exaggerating but also wide perspective of renewable energy, wind power, uses solar power, Biomass power, hydro power MNRE and IREDA are taking place. So how it is possible to embark on a journey that cope with both Financial as well as Natural resources.

It is exploratory method and involved secondary data collection and use of content analysis technique to asses the conservation law with respect to Make in India campaign.

The main finding of the study are investment of $11 billion can increase GDP,NDP Economic growth ,PPP, National income but deforestation ,chemicals ,garbage through the new manufacturing companies misbalance the control on natural environment. The result of manufacturing units turn on of the harmful aspect in Delhi, as the Air Quality Index (270) shows its dangerous to breath in such city, still the average person might believe that the worldwide push to “go green” is coming solely from politician and concerned citizens. In fact, this is not the case! Many big name companies have realized their way towards more sustainable and eco-friendly business practices.

The study clearly maps the Make in India performance will help to cope with of sustainable development of India’s economy as well as use of new green technology that can help to prevent from Climate Change and Natural disasters.

This is the first time that such as exhaustive study has been carried out based on Globalization as India is one of the major parts now with help of Make in India.

Keywords- Make in India project, India’s Sustainable Development

Paper type- Research Paper

Introduction

The Make in India project is an initiative of the Government of India to encourage multinational as well as domestic companies to manufacture their products in India. Here is different perspective of Make in India, Sometimes its humble request to the companies, some time its Government order actually it’s an open invitation to showcasing the India’s potential to the rest of the World. Till now we are not good in manufacturing so that we import more and export less it means a lot of money going outside to the country. If will become a manufacturing hub we can produce the thing in our own country and sell it to the rest of the world. Since we should inculcate that here also two phase of Make in India one is increasing economic condition and second is Law of conservation of Natural energy .If both act as synergism then only there is a sustainable development of India. The major objective of Make in India behind the initiative to focus on job and skill enhancement in twenty-five sector of the economy. The initiative also aims at high quality standard and minimizing the impact on the environment.

The green technology with respect to Make in India includes:

Sustainability- Meeting the needs if society in ways that can continue indefinitely into the future without damaging or depleting natural resources. In short, meeting present needs without compromising the ability of future generation to meet their own needs. Use of solar energy, Hydro power for electricity and waste management in an effective manner.

“Cradle to cradle” design- Ending the “cradle to grave” cycle of manufactured products, by creating the products that can be fully reclaimed or re-used.

Source reduction- Reducing waste and pollution by changing patterns of production and consumption.as the new technology are introducing very fastly.

Innovation- Developing alternatives to technologies-whether fossil fuel or chemical in intensive agriculture or scrapes-that have been demonstrated to damage health and the environment.

Viability- Creating center of economies activity around technologies and products that benefit the environment, speeding the implementation of new technologies and creating new careers that truly protect the planet.

CSR- Corporate social reporting or Corporate social responsibility can also a part of green technology in which focuses on the pollution control and waste management in an effective and efficient manner by giving 2% or more of the profit for developing green environment.

Literature review

Introduction of Make in India and this whole debate and drama over Land Acquisition is an indication that India is at beginning of creating a new horizon of Industrialization Through the industrialization the pollution will increase. According to BCG analysis the use of natural gas, electricity will increase more due to that project. Intense Industrialization in Europe during the mid 18th to 19th century lead to increase in pollution ,overcrowded cities unhealthy residents and lack of sanitation. China is a living example of an overly industrialized country which is economically well off but is a masterpiece of pollution. 1.6 million Chinese people die per year because of it and rest suffers from serious lung disease .Wearing a mask when outdoors is a common practice there. How to control and look after both activities is a difficult task but a lot new practices and technologies can help to synergize both of them.

Data Analysis and Presentation

Although it is a manufacturing project but from the agriculture economy to manufacturing economy and from manufacturing to service economy is the only way to get involved in the list of developed countries. Now out of 25 sectors there are different methods to use of green technology like reduction in paper work / paper use and recycling program’s operation. Like General electric since 2006 sold over $12 billion of its ecomagination products (including solar panels), Reduction of greenhouse gas emission, raw material saving (Waste eliminating), Manufacturing of fuel efficient car (not as Volkswagen), No computer should go waste (recycling program), Manufacturing of Eco clothing, Less reduction of water in beverage drinks and reduction in plastic usage (packaging of products) and the most important “Situational awareness” for sustainable development of India’s economy cope with natural resources .Using of solar energy is one of the efficient methods to use law of conservation in which one energy turn in to another energy. The solar energy available in a year exceeds the possible energy output of all fossil fuel energy reserves in India. The daily average solar power plant generation capacity over India is 0.25kWh per m ² of used land area, which is equivalent to about 1500-2000 peak (rated) capacity operating hours in a year with the available commercial proven technologies. As of end July 2015, the following are the some most prominent incentives- Accelerated Depreciation – For profit making companies installing rooftop solar system, 80% of the total investment can be claimed as depreciation .This will significantly decrease tax to be paid in year 1 for profit making companies. Capital Subsidies- Capital subsidies are applicable to rooftop solar power plant, up to a maximum of 500kW .while the original capital subsidy was 30%, it has recently been reduced to 15%. Net Metering Incentives- Net metering incentives depends on two aspects whether the net meter is installed and other is the incentive policy of the utility company. I if there is a net metering incentive policy in the state and if there is net meter on the rooftop, then can get financial incentive for the power generated. So on the basis of incentives Govt. can promote Green Technology.

Conclusion

The project Make in India may increase the pollution level but if the Govt. will look after every activities of manufacturing companies’ .It can help for the sustainable development of India. Many incentives for promoting green technology is now considering. Solar energy use and Recycling methods can help in sustainable development of India. Because it is necessary to promote this campaign if India wants to enlisted in Developed countries. The Foreign Direct Investment of 25 sectors no doubt will lead India to a higher level. With the help of Hydro power, solar energy it can minimize the cost and save Natural resources which are limited.
