The recycling economy is one of the largest job engines in the state. Recycling jobs as a percentage of the state's total employment has increased 40 percent in the past 10 years. 14,000 North Carolinas work in the recycling industry. A 20 percent increase in recycling would create as many as 500 new jobs. Holiday Schedule Our offices are closed on the following days. Curbside Collection

All containers should be rinsed and dry. There should be no food residue. All lids and caps go in the trash. It's okay to leave labels on. Place shredded paper in a brown paper bag before placing in the bin. Place bins a t the curb by 7 a.m. (6 a.m. during the summer months)

Remove bins promptly after servicing. Contact Durham One Call a t 560-1 200 if your bin is missed for collection or broken.
