MAKER FAIRE 2019 Is here!
WHAT SHOULD MY PROJECT BE? ANYTHING YOU WANT! You can build, create, invent, or engineer anything you can think of! The goal of this project is for you to use the Engineering Design Process to positively impact your community or the world. WHAT DO I NEED TO TURN IN? Please make sure to turn in your project AND a tri-fold board. Boards are sold by the PTA for $5 or at stores (Staples, etc.). Boards need to be 36” x 36”. Projects AND boards are due by APRIL 10, 2019.
HOW CAN I PLAN OUT MY PROJECT? You can use this planning page to help you. Name of Project ASK What problem are you trying to solve? Why is this important? How will it impact your community or the world? IMAGINE What are 2-3 ideas you can brainstorm that MIGHT solve your problem? Talk to your friends about different ideas! 1. 2. PLAN Materials needed:
• Sketch of your plan: CREATE (Include pictures of you creating / making) What steps did you take to make your project? (Include as many as you need.) 1. 2. sIMPROVE How could you improve and make your project better?
WHAT SHOULD MY BOARD LOOK LIKE? Your board should include how you used the Engineering Design Process to create your project. It might look like this:
Plan • Include your
labeled sketch. • Make a list of
your materials.

Biography of the Creator • Include a short biography of the
creator. • Include a photo of the creator. Ask: Purpose/Problem/Goal • Write your question, purpose,
problem, or goal here. Explain how it will help the community/world.
Imagine • Include at least 2 brainstormed
ideas that you tried out before you chose the very best one
Create • Include pictures
of the final project.
• Include pictures of you testing out the project.
• Write a paragraph about how you made your project.
Improve • Include pictures
of your project AFTER you make changes if you made any.
• Write a paragraph about the changes you made and WHY.
*Please make sure each section is BIG, NEAT, and COLORFUL! Please be sure to decorate your board. You can type each section and glue it to the board OR write NEATLY and BIG.
