Upon arrival
Entrances to Maker Faire will be located near the
entrance (near the corner of Village Road and Oak
and near the Automotive Hall of Fame (north of V
off Oakwood Blvd.). You may also enter Maker F
inside Henry Ford Museum through the west side of
between the Wienermobile Caf and Museum G
Tickets must be presented upon entrance. Weeken

Parking & Drop-Off
Parking attendants will be on duty to direct guests into various
Ford Motor Company lots off Oakwood Blvd. (see parking
maps). After you have parked, follow the signs to one of the
two entrances. Parking at The Henry Ford is free of charge
the weekend of Maker Faire only.
Expanded handicap parking for this event will be located near
the IMAX Theatreentrance; see map for other locations.
Visitor drop-off areas will be located near the Henry Ford
Museum clocktower and Greenfield Villageentrances. Attendants
will be present to assist and drop-off time will be limited.
Vehicles left unattended in drop-off areas and other no-parking
areas will be towed.
Food Donation
Please help make our community a better place: Consider
bringing a few canned food items for Gleaners food bank.
Convenient drop-off will be available at all parking lots and
the mobile food pantry will be making rounds for pickup.

Bike and Alternative Transportation
Please help and make the Detroit Maker Faire a little
greener. Consider car pooling, public transportation
(www.smartbus.com) or bicycling. The Henry Ford
will have special designated bike parking at the Faire.
Weather Policy
Maker Faire Detroit is a rain or shine event. Most of the
Maker Faire experiences will be held outdoors in our
west parking lot and surrounding outdoor areas, betweenOakwood Blvd. and the IMAX Theatre. A portion of the
experience will be located inside Henry Ford Museum.
No refunds or exchanges will be given.
Extra Tickets
If you would like to purchase extra tickets to Maker Faire,
do so by July 15 to save an additional $3 on each ticket
($6 on Weekend/2-Day tickets). Contact our on-site call
center daily from 9am5pm to add on to your order at
313.982.6001.
Accessibility
Henry Ford Museum and Maker Faire are both wheelchair/
electric cart accessible. Routes from our various parkingareas are also accessible by foot, wheelchair or electric cart.
A limited amount of accessibility equipment such as
wheelchairs will be available to rent for a fee. We encourage
you to bring your own personal equipment as rentals often sell
out quickly on peak days. Segway or other upright scooters
are not permitted on The Henry Ford property, including
Maker Faire.

Food
Be sure to check out special Maker Faire food options
featuring stone-baked pizzas, wood-fired tandoori chicken
and other seasonally sourced items from area growers,
including vegan and vegetarian options! Both alcoholic
and nonalcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
Food tickets will be available at Maker Faire main entrances
(near the Automotive Hall of Fame) and near all food tents.
Food tickets are valid for Faire food tents only.
Shopping
Stop by the retail area for products to inspire makers of all
ages. Maker Faire merchandise, souvenirs, crafts and more!
For Your Safety
Hands-on activities at Maker Faire will require signed
waivers for participation. Wristbands will be assigned toparticipants depending on the level of engagement for
each activity and/or the age of the participant.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. In case
you become separated from your party or an accident
occurs, please ask an employee to contact a security officer
for assistance.
What to Bring, What to Wear
Consider wearing comfortable shoes as Maker Faire and Henry
Ford Museum exhibits are spread over dozens of acres.You may
bring strollers and childrens wagons. Dress appropriately for
all kinds of weather (i.e. sunscreen, hats, rain gear, etc.).
Bring a camera! Photography is allowed in all areas.

What Not to Bring
Pets are not allowed in any venues ofThe Henry Ford,
including Maker Faire.
Michigan law prohibits smoking except in designated areas.
Firearms, sparklers and candles are not allowed.
State law prohibits bringing alcoholic beverages onto The
Henry Ford property, including Maker Faire. Upon entering,
belongings will be checked and alcoholic beverages removed.
Catered/outside food is not allowed. You may bring small
portions of food and drinking water for personal consumption.
