• 1,200 New Passenger Seats are Currently Being Installed throughout Airport Concourses
• The New Seating is manufactured using 65% recycled material, which is made up of 100% aluminum arms and legs, with steel seats, backs and beams. Bottom line results in a 95% recyclable chair and the end of its useful life.

• The Airport has converted over 12 acres to water-conserving landscapes, saving approximately 197 million gallons of water
• The Airport has installed water-conserving plumbing fixtures in all public use restroom facilities, resulting in a 50% reduction in water usage
• A Building Automation System (BAS)is set up to effectively manage and conserve energy consumption throughout Airport property

Resource Conservation• In an effort to replace natural wetland
environments that were adversely impacted by construction of an additional runway, a 465 man-made wetland was completed in 1992.
• The wetland site is one of the largest replacement projects ever undertaken in the U.S., and is unique for not only its size, but for the diversity of habitats replaced
• Grass Carp replacing Magnacide H herbicide for floating and submerged weeds and algae in irrigation canals.

• Continental Airlines– Eco-Skies Program– First Bio-Fuel Aircraft tested in North America– Electric Powered Ground Equipment, where feasible– Expanded on-board recycling (aluminum cans,
plastic, newspapers/magazines)– In 2008, in-flight and catering divisions were
responsible for recycling more than 640,000 pounds of aluminum and plastic, and more than 1,100 tons of cardboard

– Delta has deployed more than 1,200 electric ground service vehicles, all with zero emissions, to reduce pollution and lower our total carbon footprint
– Delta’s partnerships and generous contributions to the Conservation Fund and the Nature Conservancy allow Delta passengers to offset the carbon emissions from their travel
• Frontier Airlines– Frontier is firmly committed to recycling,
reclamation, and greenhouse gas emission reduction, and will entertain viable business alternatives to enhance these practices in a positive manner.
