Energy Efficient Windows

Energy efficient windows have substantially transformed the energy efficiency of residential homes in the last few years, and are proven to be one of the best ways to help lower your heating bills.

How Do We Do It?

Energy rated windows feature advanced glass coating technology that reflects radiated heat back into the room, rather than allowing it to escape through the glass. At the same time it innovatively captures warmth from natural daylight by allowing it to pass through the glass. In addition to high tech glass. Our double glazed A-Rated units are filled with argon gas which is 30% more effective than common air filled units. They also feature warm edge spacer bars which are far more efficient than aluminium. Energy efficient windows can reduce condensation by over 80% meaning less risk of mould build up which is a common cause of respiratory illnesses.

Energy Efficient Windows

“Up to 26% of heat loss in a home escapes through a window, so it’s clear to see why A-Rated windows and doors are becoming so popular”.

After : Red patches are eliminated thanks to thermal glass meaning your home is retaining the heat.

Before: Red indicates substantial heat loss through old windows.

Energy Rating

1: Standard Float GlassStandard Float Glass meets the requirements for C–Rated windows, making it a popular glazing choice.

2: Aluminium Spacer BarThe hollow aluminium spacer bar separates the two glass panes in a double glazed window.

1: Low Iron Glass Crystal clear Low Iron Glass, when combined with Low-E Glass, provides a window with perfect clarity and exceptional thermal performance.

2: Warm Edge Spacer BarA large amount of heat is lost around the edge of the glass where the unit is joined. Using a warm edge spacer bar rather than aluminium means more heat is retained in the home.

3: 5 Chambered ProfilesHaving 5 chambers in our profile means it’s not only extremely strong, it’s also more thermally efficient as it provides air pockets for warm air.

4: Double Weather SealProvides a weather tight and draft proof seal from the outside.

5: Internally BeadedProvides a secure burglar proof method of glazing a window from the inside.

6: Argon Gas FilledDouble glazed units filled with argon gas are much more efficient, as argon is less thermally conductive than air meaning less heat is lost.

7: Soft Coat GlassAn innovative invisible coating on soft coat glass massively reduces heat loss and almost eliminates condensation over and above what hard coat glass can achieve.
