What a fantastic start it has been for USANA in the first quarter of 2013! Events after events, excitement after excitement! In this issue, we will take you through all the events and happenings that had taken place in the past few months. From the 2013 USANA Celebration to the 2013 Asia

Pacific Convention, and from our Annual Recognition Dinner to the Malaysia Growth 25 Dinner, all we can say is – nothing can stop us from bringing you amazing events that you truly deserve and simply unforgettable.

On another note, let us not forget to celebrate the achievement of our dynamic couple Anthony Ang & Tina Li for advancing to Emerald Directors. Read more about their success story on Page 16.

I recently received a letter from a USANA Distributor, and in this letter, he used the words “heart”, “vigor”, “vitality”, and “the USANA Difference.” He was describing a recent USANA event he had attended, and it got me thinking about the importance of our conferences and other events.

These events are extremely significant, and not for the reasons you think. They’re not just to educate you on our products. They’re not just for entertainment (although I have to say, we do put on quite a show). They’re not just so you can meet the most well respected speakers in our industry. They’re not just there to support you as you grow your business into exactly what you dreamed. Those aspects of our events are helpful, but I think there is something else – something intrinsically valuable about attending these events. They stir something in the soul. They excite passion. But most importantly, they motivate you to take that next step in your USANA business, whatever it may be.

Believe me, I attend events all over the world, from large scale events for thousands of people to small event for hundreds, and nothing compares to a USANA event. If you’re thinking about attending a USANA event, do it! And if you’re not, take a look at the recaps of events in this magazine to see if those might persuade you to change your

mind. Events are great for your business, great for your team, and great for your spirit.

But you don’t have to take it from me. USANA events have caught the attention of people all over, and we’ve won awards to prove it! Our International Convention has won two Stevie Awards for Best Live Event. It’s not just by chance. USANA takes time to prepare and plan for every single one of our events to make sure it meets the needs of our audience: you.

Of course, USANA can plan incredible events all year long, but it’s really up to you to take advantage of these amazing opportunities to grow as a person and as a business owner. You have to get there. You have to show up. And then it’s up to you to take that a-ha moment and to turn it into something tangible. My hope is that you’ll ignite a spark in your entire team and turn it into a raging fire of excitement and momentum for your business. But what happens from there is all up to you.

graced the opening ceremony with

a warm and delightful welcome

speech. Two other special guest

speakers – Zheng Feng, Diamond

Philippines came to Malaysia to

the event and shared about their

success stories. Annie Low, 1-Star

Diamond Director, and Yurko Ng,

Diamond Director, were also invited

on stage to give a few words on

USANA. Emerald Director, Tina

Li, who is also the ambassador

for our True Health Assessment,

was also invited on stage to share

and explain on the use of True

Health Assessment. There was

Situated on the 42nd floor of Malaysia’s KLCC

Petronas Tower 2, the exclusive Malaysian

Petroleum Club, which overlooks the breathtaking

and mesmerizing view of Kuala Lumpur’s

city lights, was where our new achievers and

their invited guests spent a memorable and

magnificent evening on January 26 after the

USANA Celebration. The recognition dinner was

specially organised for the new rank achievers of

2012 as an appreciation to their tireless effort and

commitment in pursuing success and sustainability

in their USANA business.

Celebrating You at the 2013 Asia Pacific Convention, Hong KongMarch 21 – 23, 2013

Cheers, claps, whistles, ovations, and more cheers. These are the words that best describe the phenomenal vibe at the arena of AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong during the 3-day Asia Pacific Convention. It was like a big USANA family reunion again, with Distributors and guests from all over the Asia Pacific region as well as other parts of the world gathering at one place in one body with one purpose - to experience the USANA difference and celebrate one another.

Some of the highlights of the Convention were the sharing by Dr. Myron Wentz, USANA Founder, and Dave Wentz, USANA CEO, sharing of success stories by various Leaders of different countries, the spectacular Awards Night where Top Achievers were recognized on stage, "Share The Vision" Reception, Book Signing, and many more. And what we loved about our Distributors from Malaysia was that more than 300 of them came to Hong Kong to join in this special occasion to give us their fullest support.

At every USANA event, we strive to do our best to bring you an experience that will last a lifetime, which is more the reason why the Asia Pacific Convention is not merely an event but an experience that transcends all languages and boundaries. It is an event that brings people of different ages, backgrounds and cultures together to speak one same language - the USANA language.

Lady luck was certainly smiling on our Top 25 Malaysian Growth Winners when they embarked on an adventurous tram ride to The Peak, Hong Kong on March 23, because despite the chilly weather, the night sky was clear at the Sky Terrace 428 that stands at 428 metres above sea level, beckoning them to a 360-degree panoramic and breathtaking view across Hong Kong.

These 25 Top Distributors from Malaysia had increased their business growth in absolute Commission Volume Points (CVP) over the past one year and were invited to an exclusive private dinner event at Tian Yi Restaurant at Sky Terrace 428, The Peak. Deborah Woo, President of Asia and Greater China, gave an inspirational and motivating speech at the dinner, congratulating the winners for their outstanding achievement and encouraging them to soar to new heights in the near future. Ng Keng Hean, Vice President of South Asia, was also present at the dinner to celebrate the success of the winners.

Four winners who celebrated their birthday in the month of March were also given a birthday surprise – a huge “birthday bun” for each of them! The night ended with another delightful surprise where each of them received a special gift from USANA as a souvenir and appreciation for their amazing effort.

A giant hamper at the entrance of the USANA Malaysia Office caught the eyes of many when they arrived at the office on 22 February to join in the festive spirit at USANA’s Chinese New Year Open House. This giant hamper was one of the highlights of the event where one lucky winner got to walk away with it by guessing its correct value.

Other exciting activities that took place at the Open House were free USANA Brand Refresh T-shirts for Early Birds, Nutritional Sharing, Special Lucky Draw, Free Health Check, Lion Dance Performance, Lantern-Making & Matching Couplets Competition, Yee Sang Tossing and Ang Pow giveaways by the God of Prosperity!

Connie Leong was working overseas before she knew about USANA. “I came to know about USANA in 2009 when I was in Australia. I was faced with some health issues and felt miserable each day. When I found out about USANA supplements, I gave it a try and was relieved to see significant improvement in my health. I was so confident with USANA products that I decided to return to Malaysia and venture into the USANA business,” shared Connie.

During the course of sharing about USANA products, she also started building her USANA business. Before joining USANA, Ereen’s uplines Anthony, Nelson and Eric Tan were business partners from another network marketing company. Ereen became curious when they started joining USANA. “After listening to their sharing, I wondered if it was really that easy to earn weekly commissions through USANA’s compensation plan. Then, they talked about USANA's product being rated as one of the Top 500 products in U.S. and Canada. I started wishing that I could also achieve something in the business,” she commented. Anthony and Nelson then encouraged her to sign up with 3 Business Centres, which she did not refuse.

After joining USANA, she started taking the products and after some time, she began to see changes in her health. “I was absolutely amazed by the products so I started sharing my story with more people. Never had I imagined that after joining for over 3 years, I finally advanced to Gold Director and will be going to Korea for the all-expense-paid Gold Retreat with my husband!” said Ereen. In the near future, Ereen’s goal is to continue working with her team to achieve all their goals.

Foong Poh Chee was faced with health challenges and turned to a Chinese Traditional Doctor after all her medications did not work. “The doctor showed me the Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements and I was impressed with the facts and data in it,” she commented. That was when she started taking USANA products, and after 2 years, she saw improvement in her health. “I decided to share about USANA products and start my career as a USANA full-time Distributor,” said Poh Chee.

Every member in her team has demonstrated great team work. They helped and motivated one another, and achieved their goals with their continuous learning and actions. “My key to success is based on 3Bs (Big Dreams, Big Learning, Big Actions) and 2Ds (Do Look Forward, Don’t Look Backward).” She will continue to work hard and strengthen her training system to help everyone achieve “Health and Financial Freedom.

About six months ago, Raymond Leong joined USANA out of courtesy and curiosity, but with the constant follow up from his sponsor, he began to understand USANA better, and fell in love with USANA’s quality products and marketing plan that brings unlimited rewards. “My family operates a hardware business.
