Currently in KSA about 800 th elderly(5%)

People aged 60+ represent a special group

There are increased rate of morbidity:

physical psychological

This has medical, social & economic implications

They may become dependent on support from others

It may lead to long stay in acute hospital beds

There are socio-cultural changes

There are scarcity of data on Saudi elderly

Study Design

The study was conducted by cross sectional approach.

The study included only Saudi natives ≥ 60 years old.

Cluster sample technique was used to select the sample.
