Introduction

My name is Angela Chouaib. In 2009 I was in the same

position as you probably are nowtrawling the internet,

leafing through piles of medical marketing literature and

altogether overwhelmed by the options available to a

woman considering cosmetic surgery. Surely there was

an easier way? I remember asking myself.

My frustration was compounded by more than just the

search for a perfect plastic surgeon. Having shed ten

stone through weight-loss surgery, I now had to face the

long wait until Id ascended the NHS waiting list. The

length of time I would have to wait would be two years. I

needed an alternative solution. There were so many

factors that I had to take into consideration in making a decision, from the cost of the procedure to the

safety, skill and reputation of the surgeon.

Finally, my seemingly endless search bore fruit. Id found my dream hospital and surgeon. The fact

that it was in Poland didnt concern me so long as the treatment I received was top-class.

In April 2010 I flew from the UK, to have my long awaited tummy tuck. Any previous reservations I

had were unfoundednot only was the customer care exemplary, but the treatment exceeded all my

expectations! I returned a short time later for a breast reduction and uplift.

When I returned home from my second procedure, I couldnt help but feel the hospital and surgeon

deserved more recognition. Back in the UK people were paying exorbitant rates for treatments they

could receive in Poland for a fraction of the fees, and with the same level of expertise, safety, and

professionalism as was offered in the UK.

My life changing and positive experience of elective cosmetic surgery in Poland was to be the proud

banner I would wave for other women researching safe, overseas cosmetic surgery options, after all I

learnt in the process of my extensive research that choice is something we should be entitled to as

long as it is always a safe well informed one.

I spoke about my experience very positively in many forums, groups, and mediums; I soon became

an information point for other women considering their options, by speaking truthfully I removed the

stigma associated with overseas cosmetic surgery, and dispelled the myths that circulated in the

press and media. It was at this time with great passion, enthusiasm and belief, and as a result of myown journey of transformation that Secret Surgery Ltd was born.

Since the beginning of my venture, I have created strong links with surgeons the length and breadth

Gynaecomastia

Gynaecomastia is a common condition amongst men which begins during puberty, where

firm, tender breast tissue grows under the nipples. It is usually caused by an imbalance of

hormones, and normally disappears by the age of 1820 without treatment.

In rare cases, gynaecomastia may be caused by prescription drugs such as anabolic

steroids; over-the-counter medicines; illegal drugs; tumours or disease. In some cases, tests

are needed to ascertain the cause and rule out any further underlying medical implications.

Men who are self-conscious because they have over-developed or enlarged breast tissue

(usually caused by being overweight, or having lost weight), or men who suffer from back

and neck ache because their breasts are too heavy can benefit from male breast reduction

surgery.

Some men and boys have fat on their chests that makes it look like they have breasts. This

condition is called pseudogynecomastia (false gynaecomastia). It is not the same thing.

Gynaecomastia recovery times vary from patient to patient. It is quite standard to experience

some discomfort after male breast reduction surgerythis can be controlled by prescription

medications from your surgeon and medical team. It is also quite common to experience a

little numbness from bruised nerves in and around your breast area. Most of this should pass

over time, as you heal.

During your stay in Poland, Your Medical team will advise you of the following;

How to care for the incision sites following surgery, and the importance to cleansethe incision sites and apply any ointment as directed, it is important you follow thatadvice carefully, as this is essential to the success of your final outcome.

Medications to apply or to take orally to reduce the risk of infection Specific changes at the surgical site or in overall health You will be seen daily by medical staff during your stay in Poland, to ensure that your

recovery and healing proceed in optimum standards. You will need to wear a compression garment continuously for a week or two after

gynaecomastia surgery, and at night for a few weeks after that.

A return to light and normal activity is possible as soon as you feel ready, which is normally a

few days after surgery, however initial would healing may take between 5 to 10 days at

which time your sutures will be removed, your surgeon will advise you when your sutures will

be removed.

You will be able to return to work and resume normal activity after this time. It is advisable

not to engage in any vigorous exercise or activity or heavy lifting within 4 to 6 weeks after

your procedure.

1 Definitions and InterpretationUs/we/our is to be interpreted as Secret Surgery Ltd;You/Your is is to be interpreted as the person ultimatelybenefiting from the Service;Clause headings are inserted for convenience only andshall not affect the construction of this agreement;Words importing one gender shall be construed asimporting any other gender;Words importing the singular shall be construed asimporting the plural and vice versa;Any reference to a clause paragraph or schedule shall(unless otherwise specified) be a reference to a clauseparagraph or schedule to this agreement;Hospital shall mean a place which is designatedrecognised defined pursuant to local or EU legislationwhere medical procedures are carried out by

professionally recognised medical practitioners for medicalproceduresDoctor shall mean any professional medical practitionerregistered authorised regulated fit to practice advise andlawfully recognised to carry out medical procedures in anyHospital or clinic pursuant to local and EU regulations asin force from time to time

2 SERVICE2.1 We are not medical practitioners, medically qualified ormedical experts in any field of medicine and therefore willnot accept responsibility for the diagnosis and course oftreatment offered or advised by the Hospital or Doctor orother professional competent to give such advice whetherpre/post care or during the course of Your stay procedureor treatment;

2.2 Our role is to act as facilitators to the Services and/orprocedures you have been recommended to undertake bythe Hospital or Doctor:2.2.1 We are not responsible for any information whichhas been given to us to pass onto You by the Hospital orDoctor or other representative agent employee of theHospital or Doctor which is also contained in a brochureleaflet pamphlet other document email letter texttelephone or other form of communication whetherdelivered electronically verbally orally or other form whichacts to provide information whether specific or generalrelating to Your procedure.2.3 We will provide you with taxi transfers to and fromairport, hospital and accomodation as required for yoursurgery booking in Destination as part of our fees/chargesfor our Service;2.4 The Booking fee is non-refundable;2.5 During the course of your stay you will be responsiblefor food, any support wear you have been recommendedby the Hospital or Doctor or other medical professional;2.6 You will be responsible for the entire cost of medicinewhich may or may not form part of the cost to You whichalso includes:2.6.1 medicine oral or otherwise;2.6.2 support apparatus;2.6.3 support garments;2.6.4 bandages plasters protective clothing or other suchprotection2.6.5 prescriptions (whether in the UK or at the destinationhospital);2.6.6 or other such cost which does not form part of thecost of Your procedure2.6.7 Your phone calls;

2.6.8 priority boarding on flights;2.6.9 accommodation;2.6.10 pre-operative face to face consultations;

2.6.11 12 month post operative support in the UK (30minutes consultation to include advice and prescriptions ifrequired;2.6.12 Post surgery in the UK (including 1 hour stitchremoval in the UK as well as advice and prescriptions ifrequired.2.7 We also offer an online Forum. Please see our PrivatePolicy and Form terms and conditions in regards to thisfacility;2.8 Any information you receive via any form ofcommunication from us relating to information contained inour brochure leaflet other document letter email text socialmedia electronically verbally written or otherwise shouldnot to be construed as advice opinion or fact. Suchmaterial should be read as information only unless weexpressly state otherwise.

2.9 The details of any Service provided for will be detailedin the leaflet or brochure provided to you by Us.3.10 Any deposit paid will be non-refundable;3.11 This Agreement shall not constitute or imply anypartnership, joint venture, agency, fiduciary relationship orother relationship between the parties, other than, andexcept as provided for in, the contractual relationshipexpressly provided for in these Terms and Conditions.3.12 You will have accepted Our Service when You viaelectronic check box online signature of these Terms andConditions or on the payment of the non-refundableDeposit.3.13 Such acceptance shall be a condition precedent tothese Terms and Conditions and shall be and take effectonly on the terms of these Terms and Conditions;3.14 You will also be given access to our online forum

3 MEDICALThe procedure which You undergo will be determined bythe Hospital Doctor or other such medical professionalpermitted to give such advice pursuant to any local or EUlaws.We cannot tell You whether Your payment of the Hospitalfee will constitute a contract between the Hospital and Youbut you are advised to read their terms and conditionsbefore you accept their service;We will have no duty of care towards you save for theService We provide pursuant to the terms and conditionscontained herein.The Hospital will be solely responsible for assessing Yoursuitability for the procedure You have chosen;We have no input opinion advice in regards to theappropriateness of the procedure or advice or opiniongiven by the Hospital Doctor;We cannot be made responsible for the contents of anydocuments contracts papers medical notes and Youracceptance of them by any means whatsoever.The Hospital General Practitioner or Doctor will be solelyresponsible for the time you are under their care or havenot been discharged from their care;The duration of your stay will be determined by theHospital pre and post operation. Any information given toyou prior to your procedure can change and is forinformation purposes only. You are not to treat anyinformation provided by Secret Surgery Ltd as definitive;Your Hospital General Practitioner and/or Doctor will beresponsible for assessing whether You can travel and the

mode of travel pursuant to Your rate of recovery;The details of any Service provided for will be detailed inthe leaflet or brochure provided to you by Us.

If you have any concerns orcomplaints regarding the service provided to You by theHospital then You are to refer your queries complaintsfeedback concerns to the Hospital;You will be advised of the procedure in our brochureleaflet but are advised that the Information provided is forguidance only. It does not represent the full extent of the

procedure which you have agreed with the Hospital;You will disclose fully any and all information regardingYour procedure and any medical history regardlesswhether You are asked to provide such information fromUs or the Hospital, or Doctor or other member of staff ofthe Hospital or Us.

5 BOOKINGSAccommodation & Flights:5.1 Cancellation5.1.1 We shall have the right to cancel the booking for the

procedure at any time before You leave the UK;5.2 The cancellation shall be made in writing.5.2.1 Without prejudice to the generality of the previousprovisions, You shall pay the Price.5.3 We will not be responsible for any cancellations savefor those outlined in clause 5 or 12;5.4 In the event of Cancellation it will be at the solediscretion of Us whether you are re-imbursed or are thebeneficiary of any act on the part of Us;5.5 You shall have accepted that offer only when it hasindicated in writing to the Buyer that it has accepted thatoffer on the terms of this Agreement5.6 These Terms and Conditions may be amended only byformal amendment in writing signed by Our dulyauthorised representative;5.7 No inaction, omission, failure or delay by Us in

exercising or securing the enforcement or validity of anyright, power, privilege or demand arising under or inconnection with these Terms and Conditions, and no

single or partial exercise of any such right, power, privilegeor demand, shall impair the existence, operation, content,effect and enforcement of the said right, power, privilegeor demand, or operate as a waiver of it.5.8 The rights and remedies provided in these Terms andConditions are cumulative and (subject to clause 3.11) notexclusive of any rights and remedies provided by law;5.9 Any bookings made on Your behalf will be subject to

the Terms and Conditions of that service provider and notUs. You are therefore recommended to ascertain thedetails of those requirements before you agree to book viaUs. For the avoidance of doubt, We will not be responsiblefor the accuracy of any information We give you;5.10 We will make bookings on your behalf but You mustensure that you understand the contractual terms of thosebookings. You will be provided with the details and it willbe for You to ensure that you comply with them;5.11 We will not be responsible for any breaches Youmake or for the consequences of that breach in relation toother service providers;5.12 Our fee is inclusive of your hotel travel arrangementsor other such information which may populate ourbrochure leaflet pamphlet. It does not include the feescharges applicable to the Hospital. You will be required to

pay those to the Hospital upon Your arrival at the Hospitalby the means agreed between You and the Hospital.

6 PRICE/PAYMENT/NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT:The Price that You shall pay for the Service:6.1 shall, subject to clause 6.2, be that stated on Ourinvoice and none other;6.2 shall not be varied without Your prior written assent,signed by You or Your authorised representative; and6.3 shall not be different as expressed in any quotation,estimate or documentation, or as given orally;6.4 Payment for the Service shall be made on Youconfirming your order for the Services;6.5 The time appointed for payment shall be of theessence of these Terms and Conditions;6.6 All amounts stated are exclusive of VAT and any other

applicable taxes or levies, which shall be charged inaddition at the rate in force at the date any payment isrequired from You6.7 If You do not make payment by the due date, We shallbe entitled to charge interest on the outstanding amount ata rate:6.7.1 such as will compensate the Seller for such loss as:6.7.1.1 has resulted directly from Your failure to makepayment on the due date, and6.7.2.2 was reasonably foreseeable to You;6.8 at all times the Deposit or any payment to Us whichconstitutes full or partial payment of the Deposit amountwill be non-refundable.6.9 Any payments made will be subject to any chargesapplicable at the prevailing time;6.10 You will be responsible for ensuring that You pay the

Hospital their fees charges upon arrival at the Hospital orby other method agreed between You and the Hospital.

7 PRE OPERATION HEALTH CHECK:7.1 You are advised to see your General Practitionerbefore deciding to proceed with the procedure you haverequested from Our Service;7. 2 You accept fully that you undertake to go through theprocedure knowing and establishing all the necessaryfacts7.3 We are not responsible for any medical advice andopinion You receive from whomever8 LIABILITY AND EXCLUSIONS:8.1 Nothing in these terms of use will:8.1.1 limit or exclude Our or Your liability for death orpersonal injury resulting from Our negligence in relation to

the provision of the Services;8.1.2 limit or exclude Our or Your liability for fraud orfraudulent misrepresentation;

8.1.3 limit any of Our or Your liabilities in any way that isnot permitted under applicable law; or8.1.4 exclude any of Our or Your liabilities that may not beexcluded under applicable law.The limitations and exclusions of liability set out hereinand elsewhere in these terms of use:8.2.1 are subject to the preceding paragraph; and8.2.2 govern all liabilities arising under these terms and

9 INSURANCE:9.1 You shall have in place a contract of insurance tocover all the risks associated with the following but not

limited to: health, travel, accommodation medicalprocedure malpractice Negligence and misrepresentationand any other cover You feel is appropriate, in the mannerand on the terms prescribed by Your procedure travel andaccommodation;9.2 We take no responsibility for your insurance products.We are not advisors or introducers of any insuranceproducts. You should seek to obtain independent financialadvice regarding the extent and appropriateness of anyinsurance coverage;9.3 Our brochure leaflets emails text messages Forum orother such form of communication may from time to timegive information regarding these products but it isunderstood that this is just Information and nothing else.You will be solely responsible for dealing with yourinsurance needs and risk.

10 FORCE MAJEURE10.1 Neither party shall owe or incur any liability under orin connection with, or be deemed to be in breach of, theseTerms and Conditions by reason of any delays in, orrevisions to, failures cancellations in performance of theseTerms and Conditions that result from circumstancesbeyond the reasonable control of that party.10.2 The party affected by the circumstances referred to inclause 10.1 shall promptly notify the other party in writing:10.2.1 when the occurrence of any circumstance referredto in clause 10.1 causes, or can reasonably be expectedto cause or to threaten to cause, a delay, revision orfailure in performance; and10.2.2 when any such circumstance ceases to do so.
