Call for Papers The Real Estate Unit at Malmö University is pleased to invite researchers to participate in Malmö Real Estate Research Conference to be held on May 18th-19th 2017 in Malmö. This lunch-to-lunch conference aims to raise the quality, status of real estate research and education. It also seeks to create a platform for partnerships in facing real estate challenges in the region as well as internationally. The conference theme is: Political instability and financial uncertainty– consequences for the real estate sector. We are delighted to announce this year's keynote speaker is: Jens Lunde Associate Professor Emeritus Department of Finance Copenhagen Business School After the keynote speech the program would follow by presentations and sessions related to different themes of real estate field. The conference would also include social events (a welcome reception, coffee and dinner) to provide the opportunity to meet, share ideas, visions and contacts among the leading real estate experts. Abstracts submissions We encourage researchers to submit abstracts for papers in the area of real estate, and possibly in relation to suggested themes below. The deadline for abstract submission is March 17th, 2017. Abstracts will be refereed before acceptance, and we will notify participants ultimately by March 21th, 2017, on the acceptance of their work for presentation during the sessions. Suggested Themes include, but are not limited to:

• Design and Construction • Finance and Appraisal • Housing • Innovation in Real Estate Organisation and Management • Urban and Regional Development • Real Estate Law and Comparative Studies • Local Housing Markets and Local Unemployment

Associate Professor Emeritus Jens Lunde

Department of Finance Copenhagen Business School

Jens Lunde holds a Master of Economics, University of Copenhagen. Associate professor, Department of Finance, Copenhagen Business School (CBS) from 1984 to 2016, recently changed to an emeritus position. His career started in 1974 at the Danish Building Research Institute and continued 1980 – 1984 at the Danish Ministry of Housing. External teacher at Department of Economics, University of Copenhagen, 1974 to 2006. He developed and lectured in the course in housing economics and finance at the university and CBS. His research area is concentrated around the mortgage system, household debt, owner-occupiers’ capital structure, financial stability. More specifically he has analysed the crisis in the Danish housing market in 2007 through an analysis of the financial soundness of owner occupation and the impact on financial stability.

His latest book, with Christine Whitehead as joint editor, Milestones in European Housing Finance was published by Wiley Blackwell in 2016.
