When you log in to MyMath Lab during finals week, you will see final exams for every exam time block. This may appear confusing at first. However, you will only be able to access the Final Exam in the assigned lab room at the day/time you registered for. That is the ONLY final exam you have to

worry about. Do not worry about the ones you cannot access at the times you did not register for, even though you see them in MML.

• Use the Final Exam Registration Link to check your final exam Day, Time, and Classroom https://www.math.fsu.edu/secure/bellenot/mac1105/exam/

• Math Exams are scheduled in six different classrooms: 104 & 105 HTL, 113 & 114 HTL; 107 MCH; and 319 HCB - so make sure you know where you are scheduled.

The exam for each Final Exam period is set to close 15 minutes later than the exam time ends to allow for flexibility in the proctors beginning and ending the exam. The proctor for each exam will give you 2 hours from when they begin the exam (if you arrive late, you will not get the full 2 hours). The PROCTOR will determine when the exam ends and will tell you when you must grade your Final Exam. The time due provided on the exam is when the exam becomes unavailable, which will normally be 15 minutes after you were told to grade your exam. ~~~~ MAC 1105 ~~~ Maltby Lecture ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Monday, December 3, 2018

All students who lost access to their Canvas course sites over the last 24 hours have now been re-enrolled. Course data like grades, assignments, and discussion boards were all successfully restored with one exception: students’ Group associations did not carry over. Your instructor will need to reassign you to your Group(s). Once reassigned, you will have access to all the information previously posted. Also, If you have not been restored to a course you’re enrolled in, please contact the Canvas Support Center so we can manually re-enroll you. Again, thank you for your patience during this process.

Student evaluations now available in Canvas • Please complete before Friday 12/7 • Your evaluation feedback is very important! • As of 11/27 only 35% have responded; I get periodic response rates but will not be able

to see the results until next semester.

an extended illness that causes you to miss more than 4 lecture class days. • I will compute your Final MML-LC Average on Friday 12/7.

Formula to compute your current grade in MAC 1105: 0.9(Test Average) + 0.1(Quiz Average) where your Quiz Average = (Sum of Lab Quiz & HW Quiz grades + 1.5(MML-PP) + 1.5(MML-LC)) (number of lab quizzes + number of HW quizzes) 1 Comprehensive Final Exam (counts 30% or 50%; whichever gives you the higher grade), 3 Lab Tests, 9 Lab Quizzes (Lab Quiz 5 Cancelled due to Hurricane Michael), 25 HW Quizzes.

• This course has a Participation Requirement measured by assignment completion. Students are in danger of failing the course if they miss more than 3 quizzes (lab, or required homework; excused or not). Your final course average will be reduced by 1 point for each additional quiz missed beyond 3. No exceptions. If MML marks a question incorrect on a Lab Quiz or Test and you believe that it was marked incorrect because of how you entered the answer, please meet with me in my office to Review your graded quiz/test. If your answer is correct but you didn’t follow the blue instructions under the answer box, I will give you partial credit. MML may have marked a question incorrect if you made a minor typographical error when entering in your answer. Again, please meet with me in my office to Review your quiz/test. Of course, you can always talk to me about any question marked wrong on a quiz or test in my office, so you don't make the same mistake later! Grades on Canvas – totals not shown because Canvas doesn’t compute grade in MAC1105 correctly since the Final can count 30% or 50%.

All Tests and Quizzes in MAC1140 will be taken using My Math Lab. It is the student’s responsibility to have purchased access and entered the access code before the third week of classes (before the grace period is over). There will be no extensions nor excused absences for not acquiring access or for not remembering login credentials.

Learning Catalytics An email was sent to all students who still need to update student ID in Learning Catalytics. If you have been responding, but you had a “-“ for 9/10 trial 3 that just means I was unable to retrieve your grade with your FSUID. Catalytics trials are over, those grades don’t count.

• 9/10 trial 3 grades were uploaded to Canvas • “1” or “2” means I received one or two responses & your FSUID was uploaded in

Learning Catalytics • “-“ means either you did not respond OR you needed to upload your FSUID in Learning

Catalytics Starting today Catalytics grades will count towards MML–LC “Points to bolster you quiz average”. Beginning today, you will ONLY receive credit if you have the correct FSUID as your Student ID in Learning Catalytics.
