Complete Sentence A complete sentence includes:
• Capital Letter• Subject• Predicate• Complete Thought• Terminal Punctuation
Terminal Punctuation Terminal punctuation is the
punctuation at the end of a sentence. A sentence is incomplete if it doesn’t
contain terminal punctuation. Three types of terminal punctuation:
• Period (.)• Question Mark (?)• Exclamation Point (!)
Capitalize “I” when it stands alone You need to capitalize all your proper
nouns.• I is a proper noun.
For example: My mom told me I needed to clean my
room-correct. My mom told me i needed to clean my
room-incorrect.
You are important. Capitalize yourself!
Run on sentences When you come to the end of a complete
thought, put a period at the end of your sentence.
If you have two lines of writing without a period, go back and look. Chances are, you need a period.
