The Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) is a pioneering

academic institute of rural management education and research. Established in 1979, it is committed to pursuing excellence along with creativity and integrity. IRMA’s mission is to promote sustainable, eco-friendly, and equitable socio-economic development of rural people through the professional management of their institutions.

IRMA’s educational and training programmes provide state-of-the-art pedagogy with emphasis on experiential learning. The Management Development Programmes (MDPs) equip in-service professionals with skills to address emerging challenges in their careers. IRMA has been playing a vital role in fulfilling this need of organizations catering to the broad-based development of rural India through its tailor-made MDPs since 1981.

MDPs in 2019-20In 2019-20, IRMA proposes to continue its efforts towards offering high quality open and customized programmes designed to improve the organizational and managerial performance of its

clients. Programmes planned in 2019-20 are listed in this calendar.

Sponsored ProgrammesOn specific request, IRMA has been designing and conducting client-specific programmes both in Anand and at the client organization’s location to meet the specific needs of organizations.

Programme FeeDetails of the programme fee for Indian participants are displayed on the list of programmes. For international participants, the programme fee is US$ 300 per day. The programme fee covers boarding and lodging, tuition fee, reading material, stationery, and local field visits.

Refund PolicyIn the event of cancellation on part of the organization/participant, the cancellation charge will be 10% of the fees paid. If a programme is cancelled by IRMA due to any unforeseeable reasons, the participants will be informed via e-mail, phone, or fax. Full fees will be refunded to the payee. IRMA will not be liable for other expenses incurred by the organization or the participant.

Government TaxesFees quoted in the calendar are exclusive of GST, which will be charged additionally at the prevailing rates specified by the Government of India.

Procedure for RegistrationIn-service professionals intending to participate in any of the open programmes are requested to send a completed nomination form along with the programme fee. The fee should be paid in advance through NEFT/RTGS. Confirmation of acceptance of nomination will be intimated by the MDP Office on receipt of the completed nomination form accompanied by the programme fee.

CertificationThe participants attending the programme will be awarded a Certificate of Participation.

IRMA Campus and FacilitiesIRMA’s 60-acre campus with its sylvan surroundings and vast stretches of lawns and ornamental plants and shrubs is ideal for concentrated learning. The campus has various facilities including faculty and staff quarters, student’s hostels, and a thriving academic

complex. Other facilities include a Wi-Fi enabled Executive Training and Development Centre (ETDC) with 50 single air-conditioned rooms, lecture hall, conference and syndicate rooms, kitchen and dining hall, and a lounge. IRMA also houses the well-known Ravi J. Matthai Library equipped with internet facilities, a computer laboratory with internet facilities, 400-seater auditorium, dispensary, co-operative store, a gymnasium and facilities for indoor games.

How to Reach AnandThe nearest airports are located in Vadodara and Ahmedabad. The two airports are well-connected with flights from all metro cities. Tourist taxis are available at these airports to reach IRMA. Anand is well-connected by rail to most big cities of the country. One can also reach Anand via a changeover at Ahmedabad or Vadodara railway stations. State transport bus stations, located very close to the railway stations, run regular bus services to Anand.
