Human Resources Information System (HRIS)

• System to collect and maintain data that explain HR, transform data into information and report that information to the user is called human resource information system (HRIS)

Primary HR Activities

• Recruiting and Hiring HR helps bring new employees into the firm by running help-wanted ads in newspapers, providing position requests to both government and private employment agencies, holding screening interviews on college campuses and at the firm's facilities, and administering employment tests.

Accounting Information Subsystem

• Two main types of data– Personnel data elements are relatively

permanent and are nonfinancial in nature- name, birth date, sex, marital status, education,

skills, etc.– Accounting data elements are primarily

financial - hourly rate or monthly salary, taxes, insurance

deductions, etc.

• Information is needed by managers to plan the workforce needs in the short and long term. This information includes information for the analysis of labor turnover, labor cost budget and workforce planning itself.

• Information is needed for the procurement workforce externally and internally. This information include labor market information, scheduling interviews, hiring and recruitment analysis.

• It is a the information required to manage the human resources within the organization. This information includes information training, assessment or evaluation of work, evaluation skills, careers, reallocation of positions, succession, and discipline.

• It is a information about remuneration and compensation which includes attendance and hours of work, calculation of salaries and bonus, compensation analysis and compensation

Benefits Subsystem

• Includes benefits received by the employee. Different Benefit compensation. More to incentive compensation linked to the performance of its employees, were more benefits to the benefits received by the employee pension fund crate.
