What is Leadership contd.

“ Leadership-both character and competence-is not taught that way at A.B. Combs. Rather, the 7 habits, the quality principles , and other leadership principles permeate most everything they do and most every subject they tech. Leadership is taught every day, though it often happens quite subtly and often unexpectedly… In other words, leadership is not “one more thing” teachers have to teach. It is part of everything they teach” ( Covey, 2008, P. 53).

“ Using the ubiquitous approach, from day one student are taught principles of leadership. They are told they are leaders who possess unique gifts and that part of their expected contribution while at A.B. Combs is to share those gifts” ( Covey, 2008, p 57).

What’s the different contd.

Closing.

From what you heard by me, you can see that there are many differences between leadership and management. Just a quick reminder though that, leadership had voluntary followers ,that can leave there leaders or join. Management has people working for them, so they have control over these people. Management and leadership are similarly in there own little ways , but those similarly are very small. don’t get those mixed up with the traits behind them. You can put it like this, managers get paid, and leaders don’t. Or management works in the system, and leaders work on the system.

"I don't like to be managed. But if you lead me, I'll follow you anywhere." — A comment heard in the halls of a large corporation
