Managerial Leadership This six-day program focuses on the skills critical to the success of mid-level managers, those individuals whose responsibilities link senior management and operational levels. These individuals use a combination of skills in order to drive excellence in their organizations. These include understanding and leading during change, articulating mission, vision and values for their teams, understanding and changing the image of their departments. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The program is offered in six, one-day sessions which address the following areas: Sessions 1 and 2 Developing Business Acumen: Topics include how to create value for a team and for the company, critical outcomes, the department’s brand, integrity and accountability as a leader. Session 3 mAnAging chAnge in the WorkplAce: The dynamics of change and how leaders need to manage this process for themselves as well as for their teams. Session 4 BuilDing A high performAnce teAm: What constitutes an effective team, communication within a team, identifying team problem areas including areas of conflict and conflict resolution styles and the importance of communication patterns. Session 5 hoW to motivAte employees: An exploration of the research surrounding motivation and the Situational Leadership model. Session 6 Developing A personAl Action plAn: Participants will use the results of the Emotional Intelligence Quotient assessment to develop a personal learning plan.
