OVERVIEW

The VMware View® Business Process Desktop™ (BPD) solution enables you to outsource or offshore business processes to effectively scale, streamline, and centralize desktop management. View Business Process Desktop delivers a modern desktop from your cloud to any device over LAN or WAN as a standardized and secure user experience. SOLUTION

Xangati’s VDI Dashboard is highly integrated with the VMware View infrastructure to performance profile and operationally support every BPD end user. Xangati integrates directly with the View Connection Server to understand which user is using which virtual machine at any moment in time. Additionally, through collaboration with VMware and Teradici, the VDI Dashboard is able to provide live and continuous end-to-end PCoIP session visibility, even with remote sessions passing through the View security servers.

Xangati’s cross-silo approach to VDI performance management ensures that all the critical components of the infrastructure including network, server, and storage are aligned to deliver the best experience possible. The Xangati VDI Dashboard has a unique DVR recording capability that can be triggered in a number of ways including through VMware vCenter™ alerts.

In the case of VMware View Business Process Desktops, the network in and of itself can be one of the most significant challenges for end-user experience. To that end, Xangati has unique virtual and physical network-level visibility to help organizations proactively monitor when network performance storms have an adverse impact on end-user experience. This blending of virtual and physical network visibility allows an EUC administrator to know when network latency issues are linked to congestion “inside the corporate firewall” or when they are due to a latency injected into the session across a service provider’s network backbone.

One of the unique aspects of the VMware View Business Process Desktop is that the end users can be halfway around the world and perhaps working out of the operational window for their client’s IT support team. Xangati’s proactive monitoring capabilities are also uniquely blended with functionality that allows the solution to be directly integrated with an enterprise’s incident management processes. This is where Xangati’s visual trouble ticket (VTT) technology and its ability to be integrated with a customer’s specific service desk software is an ideal match. The VTT is an end-user experience recording that has all the desktop OS, PCoIP session, and infrastructure-level insights to rapidly get to the cause of an issue. The VTT can be appended to the trouble ticket with a hyperlink so it can follow the escalation chain if for example a network-related issue cannot be addressed directly by front-line support.
