Managing Stretch Marks
“Stretch marks can sometimes be itchy when the skin is too dry.”
Stretch marks are a common skin condition seen in many women. There is no medical reason for their
appearance but it is often a cause of embarrassment for many. Stretch marks look like thin white scars
on the skin and it often occurs when the skin stretches beyond its capacity.
When stretched, the skin’s elasticity and collagen get destroyed leading to the tissue showing on the
surface of the skin. Stretch marks can sometimes be itchy when the skin is too dry. Some of the most
common areas where stretch marks often appear are abdomen, breasts, shoulders, thighs and buttocks.
Visit Apollo Clinics to know more about this problem and how to get rid of it.

It can be hard to treat stretch marks if it is not done in the early stages. Vitamin E, vitamin C capsules or
cream have proven to be helpful to remove some of the marks. Once the marks turn silvery, there is not
much that can be done about it. Treat the marks when they are still pink for best results.
