Connect your mind, body, and artistry to all your favorite music. This class will introduce or review barre and center exercise with breathing and stretching to conclude the class. MONDAY Beginning Ballet 1/2 4:15 - 5:15 pm • Ages 7-12 Robin M. Kumm - Instructor This class is designed for the students who are new to ballet or who have some previous experience. Ballet technique at the barre and center is emphasized using inspiring music while still maintaining creative expression. Children will be characters and dance to story ballets while creating choreography! Teen Ballet 3/4 5:15 – 6:30 pm • Ages 11 & Up Robin M. Kumm - Instructor This class builds technique, strength, and artistry and is designed for dancers who have had previous ballet training. Students will develop a more challenging repertoire of ballet combinations, while developing musicality and expressing themselves theatrically. TUESDAY Combo Dance Class 4:00 - 4:45 pm • Ages 3-5 Mary Clarke – Instructor Focus on Ballet/Tap/Jazz and Hip-Hop Fundamentals. Hip-Hop Dance 4:45 - 5:30 pm • Ages 6-10 Mary Clarke – Instructor A high energy contemporary dance class geared toward onstage performance. THURSDAY (cont...) Intermediate/ Advanced tap will focus on footwork, rhythm, style and musicality. FRIDAY Beginning/Intermediate Lyrical/ Modern Dance 4:00 – 5:00 pm • Ages 10 & Up Mary Clarke - Instructor Dancers will learn movements characterized by fluidity and grace, with the dancer flowing seamlessly from one move to another. Intermediate & Advanced Jazz & Musical Theater Dance 5:00 – 6:00 pm • All Ages Mary Clarke - Instructor Jazz is a true American art form and is an ever evolving dance form full of life, energy and rhythm in different styles such as Broadway, Latin, classical jazz, funk, Bollywood and more!

ROBIN KUMM - Robin has been teaching dance in the area for over 20 years. She began her training with Kay Hearton, formally with

the Washington Ballet and continued her training with Sandra Young, formally of the Tampa Ballet. At FSU, she studied ballet under Kate Levitz and earned her B.S. in Education. Robin has furthered her training with Deborah Vinton, in the Cecchetti Classical Ballet Syllabus where she passed several qualifying exams, earning her Teaching Certificate. At SCF, she has studied voice and musical theatre under Melodie Dickerson. I am thrilled to be teaching my Uniquely Ballet Classes at the Manatee Performing Arts Center!

TERI BOOTH - “There are short-cuts to happiness and dancing is one of them.” Vicki Baum. Teri Booth loves taking people on this path! She has taught private lessons and group classes in Latin and Ballroom for independent studios in Bradenton, Sarasota and Venice. When she’s not on the dance floor, Teri can be found making music in the pit orchestra for shows here at the Manatee Performing Arts Center.

Leapin' Lizards! The popular comic strip heroine Little Orphan Annie takes centerstage in ANNIE JR.,an adaptation of one of the world's best-loved and most-performed musicals.

With pluck and positivity, Annie charms everyone she meets despite a next-to-nothing start in the Depression-era New York City of the 1930s.

BROADWAY BOOT CAMPJuly 6-25, 2015 • M-F, 9:00 - 5:00 pm • Ages 13-17

This oddly romantic comedy with book by Abe Burrows and Jo Swerling and music and lyrics by Frank Loesser is considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy, featuring songs like “Luck Be a Lady,” “I’ll Know,” “Sit Down You’re Rockin’ the Boat” and “A Bushel and a Peck.” Winner of nine Tony awards, including Best Musical and Best Revival of a Musical and a Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album, GUYS & DOLLS is set in Damon Runyon’s mythical New York City.

MARY CLARKE - After living in Tampa, Mary married and moved to Lakeland where she was hired to teach dance at Florida Southern College. Teaching became such an exciting endeavor that Mary has continued to teach children and adults in Bradenton, Sarasota, and Riverview. Mary’s love of dance has enabled her to teach ballet, modern dance, tap, jazz and dance for the Broadway stage. Currently, Mary has her own tap company of adults Bradenton, the Tap Divas, who perform throughout the area.r shows here at the Manatee Performing Arts Center.

MICHAEL DEMOCKO - Michael has been a dancer for over 25 years. His performance credits include regional theater, national tours and cruise ship productions. He is thrilled to be a part of the Manatee Performing Arts Center family.

CORINNE WOODWARD - Corinne has been appearing with Manatee Players for 21 years. Most recently she was Beatrice in BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS! Other favorites include TARZAN (gorilla), GYPSY (Gypsy/Louise), A CHORUS LINE (Kristine), ALL SHOOK UP (Natalie/Ed), SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS (Dorcas), PETER PAN (Peter), WEST SIDE STORY (Anybody’s).

KELLY WOODWARD - Kelly is well-known in the area theatrical community. She has appeared on stage as well as directed shows from the Island Players to Venice Theatre. At the Manatee Players, she has been seen in GODSPELL and THE ELEPHANT MAN. Kelly has also directed several of the Manatee Players’ summer camp shows. She is a teacher and enjoys helping shape our community through our young people. Her husband, Mark, and daughter, Corinne, have also been a part of the theater community as well.

KYLEANN LACERTOSA - Kyle Ann is the Director of Performing Arts for Cardinal Mooney High School. In addition to directing for CMHS, she directs the Kidz Camp show each summer for the Manatee Players. She has previously appeared in the Manatee Players’ productions of HAIRSPRAY (Tracy Turnblad), JERRY’S GIRLS and played ‘Dorothy’ in STEPPING OUT.
