  • Proverbs 3:5 that we should place our trust in God above our ownunderstanding.

A manifestation is the public display of emotion or feeling, or somethingtheoretical made real. Manifestation's origins are in religion and spiritualitybecause if something spiritual becomes real, it is said to be a manifestation.

Lately, I've been interested in the power of manifestation. Manifestation isessentially the act of feeling something is yours and making it real. When youmanifest something, you're making it known to the universe that this thing —whether it's a dream job or a new car — will be yours.

Manifestation Techniques are at the heart of the Law of Attraction. Based on theLaw of Attraction, you attract into your reality everything that you give thoughtto. ... If you cultivate positive thoughts about a certain subject, feel good, andhave strong positive emotions about it, then you will attract more of that.

Visualization. If you're looking for the most powerful manifestation technique, then visualization should be your best bet. This technique has been in use formany ages and yields stunning results. It's a great way of focusing on one goaland completing it with confidence.

I have had this blog post about manifesting in my heart for the past few weeks.I didn’t intend to write it though, because I thought there is enough informationout there about manifestation. But, lately, I have come across so many friendsand people who’s email lists I have joined, who are sharing about how theymanifested their heart’s desires.

    What exactly is manifestation

If you are in the personal development space, you don’t have to look hard tofind books, articles and ‘spiritual’ guides teaching and talking aboutmanifestation and law of attraction.

The idea behind manifestation is that you can bring forth something into yourlife by focusing, believing, and attracting it.

    https://92e951v8r7x9b0gkw2lway6q25.hop.clickbank.net/

  • At first glance, this new age thinking seems as simple as focusing your attentionon your desires and they will materialize.

There are, however, very serious elements that are wrong with manifestationand that is why I believe Christians should stay as far away as they can.

It is easy to see the appeal of manifestation

When you are out of a job, down on your luck; when you desire more than yourcurrent circumstance or when things just aren’t showing up the way you hadhoped, we get desperate to try anything. I get it. I’ve been there too.

It’s appealing to think that you can actually manifest your heart’s desires withjust your thoughts and the power of your mind.

Those who know me well, know that I am a huge fan of personal development.I believe that we are all here to learn more about ourselves, each other and God.

  • But I have seen so many people post on Facebook or Instagram sharing howthey manifested money, their dream home or their dream husband. I even gotan email from someone who manifested their dream pet.

5 Reasons Manifestation and Law of

    Attraction is not Godly

    ● It ignores the sovereignty of God.● The manifester becomes their own God● It robs you of the gift of waiting● God gets zero praise when we get what we want● We create idols of the things we are desiring

    I. It ignores the sovereignty of God

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your ownunderstanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.

    https://92e951v8r7x9b0gkw2lway6q25.hop.clickbank.net/

  • When we engage in manifestation, we are placing more faith in our ownthoughts instead of seeking God’s Will for our situation. Yet, we know fromProverbs that we should place our trust in God above our own understanding. He loves us and wants the best for us so we should place our plans and desiresin His hands and ask His help in achieving them.

II. The manifester becomes their own god

“You shall have no other gods before me.”Manifesting fools us into believing that we are creators and the masters of ourown destiny. God is the only true creator. He spoke and the world into being. All things come from His generous abundance. If we desire something and takeall the steps to make them come true without first filtering it through theguidance of God then we are taking a risk of what we will receive. God tells usin Exodus that we should have “no other gods before me.”

III. It robs you of the gift of waiting

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but ispatient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reachrepentance.

There is something you desire, perhaps its more money, a nicer home, friends, better marriage. Whatever it is, we can present this desire to God. When Goddoes not answer as quickly as we hope, we want to turn to other means to getthat desired outcome.

But what if the reason you have not met that dream partner, or acquired moremoney is because there is something you need to learn or a person you need tobecome before you can not only acquire your dream desire but hold on to it aswell.

What no one mentions when they talk about manifesting is what happensafterward. What kind of marriage do you have after you’ve manifested yourhusband or wife? How long did the money you manifested last and did it bring

    https://92e951v8r7x9b0gkw2lway6q25.hop.clickbank.net/

  • you the joy you are seeking? God loves us and wants us to live joyfully withHim. When we manifest, we rob ourselves of the gifts God wants to bestow andthe growth we need to hold on to those blessings.

IV. God gets zero praise when we get what

    we want

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and inChrist Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.

I rarely hear people thank or give God praise when they achieve the thing theyare manifesting. And if they don’t believe it comes from God then where doesit come from? If we are not careful, we might be receiving our desires from theenemy, who is always prowling, aware of our deepest desires, and ready to usethem to move us further from God. The Bible tells us that all good things comefrom the Lord but if we do not include Him in our plans, and do not give Himany praise or glory for our blessings then we risk relying solely on ourselves.

    V. We create idols of the things we are desiringSee to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.

I know what it’s like to deeply desire something; to want it so badly and youwant it now. If only you could have it, you would be so happy and all would beright in your world. The problem with desiring something too much though isthat we can create an idol out of that desired outcome. We focus on it daily, wecreate vision boards so we can see if all the time, we spend time doingeverything we can to manifest our dreams. There is nothing wrong withfocusing on something you want to achieve; success comes from strategic focusafter all. But we have to include God in all we do. He has to be the focus of ourdesires. He has to be the one we want to please and whose Will we want tofollow, not our own.

  • What to do instead?

So what do we do when we want to set our mind on achieving or acquiringsomething? There are steps we can take today that are biblically sound.

Pray about it. Offer this desire to God and ask Him to help you accomplish it.Pray for discernment also, that you may hear God’s voice and that the HolySpirit may give you wisdom to know what to do.

  • Submit to God’s Will. Let us not be so completely obsessed with our desiresthat we overlook or ignore God’s Will. Pray in faith that God wants only thebest for you and believe that He will help you.

Affirmations. What’s the difference between manifestation and affirmations?Biblically-based affirmations are repeating God’s words – which are true – backto yourself and declaring them as true over yourself and your dreams. You aredreaming with God and seeking His Will, rather than your own.

Do the work. If you are praying for more money then do your own part intaking the necessary steps to achieve that dream. It might mean going back toschool, learning a new skill, looking for a better paying job. Whatever it is,once we have offered the desire to God and ask for His guidance we should dothe work to accomplish it.

A key part of manifesting is relying on the universe to bring us what we desire. Itake heart in knowing that my God created the universe. He is bigger than theuniverse and He is limitless! What more can He give us!

10 Powerful Habits to Create a Joyful

    Mindset

Habit #1Recite positive affirmations. Sometimes we all need a little reminder that weARE worthy and we DO deserve joy. Find a few affirmations that resonate withyou and post them around your house where you’ll see them often. You cangrab these affirmations here to get started.

Habit #2Build a spiritual practice. Developing a spiritual practice where you areconsistently spending time in prayer and connecting to God will greatly affectyour outlook and give you more peace and joy. Prayer is simply a conversation

    https://92e951v8r7x9b0gkw2lway6q25.hop.clickbank.net/

  • between you and God and what you say does not matter as long as the focus ison God and growing closer to Him.

Habit #3Surround yourself with positive people. Whether you notice it or not, we tendto mimic the people we spend a great deal of time with. This is why it is soimportant for us to surround ourselves with people who’s lives we respect andadmire.

I visited a friend once, and I watched the way she gently spoke to her daughterand how she would stoop down to eye level whenever her daughter spoke to her.I thought, “That’s the kind of mom I want to be.” I found myself slightly doingthe same thing when my kids spoke to me and I am grateful to that friend forbeing a wonderful example I can follow.

Habit #4Examine your current beliefs and mindset. Our subconscious internalizeslimiting beliefs, which in turn makes us feel less than worthy or joyful.Everyone encounters these limiting beliefs at some point; the key is to identifythese beliefs (in all areas of your life and your faith), understand why they areblocking your joy, and turn these around into positive thinking that allows youto move forward.

Habit #5Change your self-limiting beliefs and replace them with truth. It is soimportant to take your negative thoughts captive and replace them with the truthof God’s Words. The best way to do this is to write down the thoughts that arestealing your joy and then look up Bible verses that tell you the real truth aboutWHO you are!

Habit #6What are you watching? Yes, it’s important to know what’s happening in theworld but seeing and hearing the constant barrage of bad news on all the 24/7news channels will certainly steal your joy. Be mindful of what you arewatching on TV. Not just the news but also the regular movies and shows thatwe allow to enter our minds and hearts. Limit your news and negative shows

  • and read inspiring books or listen to motivational podcasts if you want a morejoyful outlook.

Habit #7Practice gratitude. Gratitude journaling can be a game-changer for your joy.Finding gratitude every single day allows us to focus on the positive, whichbrings so much joy. Start choosing to pay attention to the things – big and small– that you have. There is always SO much to be grateful for if we pay attention.

Habit #8Create a positive mindset in the morning routine. Instead of reaching foryour phone the instant you open your eyes, consider starting a morning routinethat brings positivity and motivation. Starting with prayer and quiet time withGod will give your joy a tremendous boost. Read books or blogs like this onethat builds your faith. If you want to take it a bit further, consider addingjournaling to your morning routine. Starting your day off with prayer andfocusing on positive thoughts and movement will motivate you as well as putyou in a joyful mood, which can often carry throughout your day.

Habit #9Find joy outside of work. If you never step away from the computer and areconsumed constantly with work, you’re headed toward burnout. Live in themoment with your family and friends. Banish work talk from the dinner table.Find a new hobby. Walk on nature trails or along the beach. Reconnect withnature by planting a garden or doing yard work. You’ll feel motivated andhappy after allowing yourself time to relax and regroup.

Habit #10Take time to rest. Too often we are so busy doing our daily tasks, taking care ofeveryone that we forget to take care of ourselves. Taking time to rest goes along way in helping us to stay joyful and productive. If you have a lot on yourplate, rest is especially important. Carve out at least 10-15minutes each dayto sit quietly, breathe, pray and rest. You will feel so much more joyful and thepeople around you will benefit from a more relaxed and restful you.

Take your time implementing these tips and share them with your family andfriends so they can cheer you on. If you’re ready to make some big changes inyour life, it’s time to step out of your own way.

  • 6 Ways to Make Prayer A Lasting Habit

I often long to be one of those women who spend hours in prayer and hearGod’s clearly speaking to them.

Here are 6 Ways to Make Prayer A Lasting Habit starting today.

    1. Plan And Put It On The To-Do List

The number one way to follow through on a habit is preparation. There was atime when I wanted to drink a glass of green celery water every morning. But ifI don’t buy the celery and cut then up the night before, I sometimes don’t do itbecause the mornings are so hectic.

Similarly, sometimes we forget to do that new thing we were trying simplybecause we are not prepared. Maybe we forget that we’re supposed to be havingeggs for breakfast instead of a stack of waffles, or that we need to get that dailywalk in.

Plan for your new habits or make it part of your daily to-do list until theybecome something you do automatically.

To plan for your prayer time, first decide when you are going to do it.

Action Step: take a brief minute to think about your day. When would be agood time for you to schedule time for prayer? A time that you are almost surewill work.

    2. Make It Public and Be Accountable

Prayer is such a personal activity that you might be hesitant to tell anyone youare doing. But it can be so helpful to let your family know what new habitsyou’re trying to establish. They will give you space and time to develop yournew prayer habit.

Tell them why spending time in prayer is important to you and ask them tosupport you in giving you the space to pray.

    https://92e951v8r7x9b0gkw2lway6q25.hop.clickbank.net/

  • You may even go as far as sharing it publicly on Facebook or write a blog aboutyour new journey. Knowing that others read it and know about it might be justenough to keep you going when you feel like throwing in the towel.

    3. Attached It To A Habit You Already Have

Whenever possible, add the new habit to one you already have. For example, ifyou go to social media as soon as you wake up, and you want to add prayer toyour morning routine, then plan to read a passage in the Bible or say a prayerand then go on social media.

This is actually the technique I use to get in regular, frequent prayer. I do notget on social media until I prayed. Sometimes I am not able to view my socialfeed until the afternoon, when I’ve had a few minutes in prayer.

It’s much easier to amend an existing habit or ritual than creating an entirelynew one.

    4. Give Yourself Grace

Depending on the season you are in, there will be days when you do not havethe time or the desire to pray. That’s okay. Don’t beat yourself up.

Instead, be curious about what may be getting in the way of your prayer time.Do you need to adjust your plan so you are praying at a different time each day?

If you don’t feel like praying, ask yourself why? Curiously explore your heartand your feelings to spot any limiting beliefs you might have about prayer.

    5. Find A Partner and Help Each Other Along

Having a prayer partner is such a wonderful gift. Not only do they share thecommon goal of building a relationship with God but you could encourage eachother to keep going.

“Where 2 or more are gathered, there shall I be in their midst.”

  • You can pray on Zoom, my phone or in person – whatever works best for bothof you. It’s much harder to skip prayer time if you know someone else isdepending on you being there.

If you already have a prayer partner, I am so happy for you. If you do not yethave one, prayerfully ask the Holy Spirit to show you who would make a greatprayer partner and then reach out to that person to see if they would like topartner up.

    6. Make It A Group Challenge

If one accountability partner is good, a whole group is even better. And theydon’t even need to be local. Find a supportive group online and challenge eachother to stick to your new habit for the next 30 days or so. Not wanting to be thefirst one to give up will keep all of you going until you establish that new habit.

  • Your turn

Which one of these 6 tips will you try first? Maybe all 6?

Whichever one it is, keep using the ones that you find helpful until you havemade new habits you can stick with without the help of any tools or support.

I am so excited for you and applaud your desire to create a prayer habit. As youcontinue this habit, expect God to show up and do amazing things in your life.God delights in you and He wants to be in a relationship with you.

  • My prayer is that you feel Him near you and that His love, joy and peace floodsyour heart as you spend time with Him.

You Can Do Great Things – Believe In Who YouAre!Is there something that is stealing your joy and causing you to doubt who youtruly are? You are not alone, faith is a daily choice but God has equipped uswith all we need to overcome any challenge and to do it with grace and joy.

I went to a friend’s house recently and she had a dog – a puppy really – whowas only a year old.

I believe he was a Portuguese water dog but he was afraid of the water. He hadnever been in a pool or ocean to swim.

When they tried to put him in the pool, he would have none of it. As my friendsaid, “he hasn’t read his owner’s manual.”

We all laughed. But it had me think about my own self. “Have I read myowner’s manual?

Here was this dog, who by nature is an excellent swimmer, who had webbing onhis paws for the sole purpose of treading water, and yet he had never been inwater. He had no idea what he was capable of; no idea what he was made of.

So my question to you today is this – Do you know who you are?

Do you know what you are capable of as a child of God, as a daughter of theKing?

Stop Seeking God and Do This Instead

  • Do you feel spiritually stuck? Like you are seeking and seeking God butcannot find Him. You can’t feel His presence? Could it be that you are tryingtoo hard? It might be time to stop seeking God.

I’m just going to come right out and say it. It’s time to stop seeking God!

I know what you’re probably thinking, “this Eva girl is crazy! What is shetalking about?” I mean this is an incredibly bold statement, right?

    Let me explain.

I was watching an Amazon Prime documentary on Fr. Thomas Keating, aspiritual leader and monk who started Centering Prayer and was reminded thatGod is not somewhere hiding, waiting for us to find Him.

How beautiful is that? God is not in the business of playing hide-and-go-seek.

God, in fact, is all around us. He is already with us.

It got me thinking that many of us (me included) spend so much energy eachday seeking Him.

Could it be that we don’t have to worry so much about seeking Him but ratherbe more diligent about recognizing Him?

What if you and I accepted fully and completely the idea that our God, whomade heaven and earth, our Creator, the one who is and was and always will beis already with us.

We do not always have to be so caught up in the seeking. We can CHOOSE tobelieve that it already is.

We don’t have to seek His love. We just have to say YES to it. It is already ours.

We don’t have to seek His blessings. We just have to claim it as our own. It isalready ours.

    https://92e951v8r7x9b0gkw2lway6q25.hop.clickbank.net/

  • We don’t have to keep asking where He is. We just have to believe that He iswhere He always has been, with us, around us, protecting and guiding us.

What does this mean for you?

If God is already with us and we are His, then what does that mean for you andme? Well, it means that we pray with faith that He is listening and willanswer in His perfect timing.

    https://92e951v8r7x9b0gkw2lway6q25.hop.clickbank.net/

  • It means that we act in such a way that shows others that we are differentbecause our God is near us. It means we don’t watch certain shows or partakein certain activities because those might be things that can harm our relationshipwith God.

Furthermore, this newfound belief helps us to treat others with love and patiencebecause the source of our own joy and love is near us and sustains us with somuch that we can readily give to others.
