Important Guidelines for Candidates 1. Candidates who have qualified for Master’s degree from any University recognized by UGC, with not less than 55%

marks, or a CGPA of 5.5 and above in the 10 point scale, are eligible to register for Ph.D. in MUJ. SC/ST/OBC

(non-creamy layer), differently abled candidates are eligible for 5% exemption from the prescribed minimum marks.

Candidate appearing in qualifying PG examination 2018 are also eligible.

2. (a) Selection shall be based on both written test and interview. Every student must clear written Test with qualifying

marks as 50%. Candidates who clear the written test will be eligible for interview. The written test would comprise

of 100 marks and have two sections as given below. Questions will be multiple choice types.

(b) In interview the candidates are required to discuss their research interest/area through a presentation before

interview board.

3. How to Apply

Candidate should download the Ph.D. application form from the Manipal University Jaipur website

(http://www.jaipur.manipal.edu/). The filled in application form along with the prescribed documents and demand

draft of Rs. 1000/- (in favour of Manipal University Jaipur, payable at Jaipur) or receipt of online payment (the link

for the online payment is http://m.p-y.tm/mujentnew_w) should be submitted to the Coordinator, Ph.D. Programme

latest by Wednesday, 04th December 2018.

Guidelines for preparation of Ph.D. Thesis

1. The thesis should be printed on both sides of good quarto-size/A-4 size paper in Font size: 12px,

Font family: Times New Roman, Line space: 1.5 with sufficient margins with light green colour

cover page.

2. Suitable reproduction of Indian-link diagram should be used. Photographs should be suitably

mounted on the same quality paper as the thesis.

3. References should be given in a style in the text consistent with a standard journal in the field.

4. In case of a student having more than one supervisor, appropriate number of additional copes

must be submitted.

5. The cover should have the following printed on it in block letters:

(a) The title at the top
