MUSICAL TROOPS

Rajasthan is a land of art,

colours and warmth. Listening

to their music in chaukidani was

a real fun.

Through this painting I

tried to capture the mood of

the atmosphere, chilling night

and the colours in their

monotones background. I tried

to catch the expressions of each

of the performer as each one of

them were well involved in the

music they were playing which

was really lovely making us

proud of our motherland who

has given us such a wonderful

culture..

Medium : batik on cotton

Size : 3.5 ft X 2.5 ft

MOKSHA

Medium: mix media,

batik, gauze.

Size :3 ft X 3 ft

MOKSHA is a salvation or liberation from

the sufferings or dukha that we face. These

sufferings are mainly due the rituals which we

perform with a thought to please god for our

selfish needs.

Through this painting I want make the society

realize that we are sleeping for several decades in a

coffin of orthodox culture made by ourselves. It’s

our own duty to overcome maya a feeling of being.

We should break the coffin and breath out of the

illusion that physical world is real and see the

absolute reality beyond that. It is just the ignorance

avidya that keeps man back from liberation. We

people are like crows who are stucked in the fence

of rituals. We wear the red ritual thread to be away

from the effects of our deeds or sins and pray to

god to save us from all the black magic.

Though all of us are trying to get rid of all these

burdens we are not realizing that these burdens

are made by us and not god. He does not want

anything. Rather he tells us to do our karma deeds

efficiently and than leave everything on him. He is

there to give us moral support and strength to

face everything what comes in our way bravely.

The person who understands the real meaning

of his own existence, the one who really gets

involved in the almighty in true sense and believes

what really is he asking for gets liberated gets

moksha from all the sufferings he is facing. Just have

faith in him he is always there for us. We don’t

need to ask for anything to him.

SCHOOL CHALE HUM

The most innocent phase in human life is childhood. It

is the stage where human foundations are laid for a

successful adult life. But this is not the story of too

many children….

Child labor is still common in some parts

of the world. These children work in all conditions,

even also for minimal pays, leaving behind their

childhood and their days of learning. They neither have

proper clothes to wear nor do they have alternate

clothes to change the toned unclean ones. We often

see them in dirty worn out banyans.

Government recognize the right of the

child to be protected from economic and from

performing any work that is likely to be hazardous or

to interfere with child’s education, or is harmful for

them from any point of view. Child labor is legally a

crime but still about 250 million children are working

far away from the reach of official labor inspectors and

from media scrutiny.

This painting highlights on the roughness

faced by these kids working at different places in very

harsh and difficult situations which turns them hard

and tough, loosing all the softness they had in them. It

also depicts their desire of getting mother’s warmth

and their urge of learning and playing. All this clearly

puts forward a statement before the government that

‘if you government is not able to put child labor to an

end, than salute this labor child with a bravery award

for his BRAVE HEART AND BODY’…….. Medium : collage with different textured

materials, colour

Size : 2 ft X 3 ft

FURNISHING PROJECT

FURNISHING PROJECT

The furnishing designs in this project are designed for very

beautiful houses constructed by a famous architect Nari Gandhi.

His designs are extraordinary and are very close to nature. All

the designs are based on organic architecture.

So as my furnishing designs are very close to his

designs. Each of the design is made keeping the element nature

and colour scheme in mind. The designs are subtle and so they

merge in the interiors of these houses.

All the elements used for furnishing designing are

inspired by the stone and brick work, the gaps between the

rocks, trees, flowers in the gardens and the colours in the

interiors. Rocks and leaves are the major elements used. The

main aspect kept in mind while designing is that no design or

colour should look different or odd from the architecture. It

should completely merge in the background and still retain its

own identity without disturbing the whole atmosphere.
