Possessive adjectives are used to show what belongs to whom and to describe relationships. They indicate the owner and are placed before the thing possessed.

2. A noun can often be replaced by a pronoun. These are the direct object pronouns in Spanish that can replace a noun.

Negative informal commands
• An informal affirmative command tells someone to do something. It usually takes the tú form
of the verb minus the final s.
• Use an informal negative command to tell someone not to do something.
For most -ar verbs, use the yo form, but replace the final o with -es.
(yo) bajo no bajes No bajes de peso. = Don’t lose weight.
• For most -er and -ir verbs, drop the o of the yo form and add -as.
(yo) me siento no te sientas No te sientas triste. = Don’t feel sad.
(yo) corro no corras No corras más. = Don’t run anymore.
• For some verbs, the informal negative command takes an irregular form.
ser (yo soy) no seas No seas tonto. = Don’t be silly.
