Where do I start?

Before turning on:✔ Remove base from packaging.

Remove wedges and tapes from theinternal components.

✔ Clean your product inside with asoft cloth or sponge, lukewarmwater and mild soap.

✔ Do not use sharp objects, alcohol,flammable products or abrasivecleaners. They can damage thepainting of your freezer and/orrefrigerant circuit.

✔ Do not place nor use electricalapparatuses within the product.

Important:

✔ Never connect your freezer todouble or triple extensioncords together with anotherappliance in the same walloutlet. Do not use an extensioncord. That may overload powersupply, impairing theoperation of yourfreezer, andresulting infire accidents.Use an exclusivewall outlet only.

✔ In case of voltage oscillation,install an automatic voltagestabilizer with power output ofat least 1000W between thefreezer and the wall outlet.

✔ If the power supply cord isdamaged, it must be replacedby one of the same type or bya special set provided by themanufacturer or its authorizedtechnical service.

INSTALLING

Explosion Hazard

Fire Hazard

Never place lit candles or similarproducts (oil lamp) on top of thefreezer.

By doing so you will ensure the goodperformance of the product.You will also prevent your freezercomponents from touching walls, otherproducts or furniture avoidingunpleasant noise.

Place the freezer in itsfinal position. Turn thestabilizing feetlocated in the front ofthe product so thatthey touch the floor,leveling the product.

✔ Heating of some external areasof the freezer is normal. Thathappens to avoid the formationof moisture. However, undercritical conditions of roomtemperature and humidity,moisture may be observed. Drythe product with a soft cloth.

3 Using the Freezer

The internal temperatureof you freezer can be setto better meet foodpreservation conditionsaccording to the roomtemperature of yourhouse.

The temperature control of your freezerleaves factory set to Medium.To adjust the control, do follow thetable below.

To adjust the internal temperature,rotate the temperature control knob tothe desired settings.

✔ When storing food in the freezer,prepare small portions to allowfaster freezing and the entire use ofeach portion.

✔ Do not place hot foods inside thefreezer. Allow themto cool to roomtemperature. Thathelps saving powerconsumption, andassures the goodoperation of theproduct.

✔ Try to open the door only as long asit takes to place and remove food.You will be reducing powerconsumption and improving theperformance of your freezer.

✔ Allow at least 1 minute beforeopening the freezer door.The internal vacuum makes openingof the door difficult immediatelyafter it has been closed.

✔ Each freezer is able to freeze amaximum amount of food at every24 hours. Avoid exceeding thefreezing capacity of your product.See “Technical Characteristics”.

✔ Always observe the expiration dateof frozen food, indicated by themanufacturer.

Important:

✔ It is recommended to operatethe freezer for at least 2 hoursbefore storing food orbeverages in it. That time isnecessary for temperature tostabilize inside the product.

✔ Once defrosted, foods shouldnot be refrozen as they mightlose their naturalcharacteristics.

✔ Liquids increase in volumewhen frozen. Take care whenstoring bottles or other closedcontainers in the freezer.They may brake.

✔ Do not store toxic products inyour freezer as they maycontaminate foods.

Upper compartment:

Upon storing ice trays, frozen food forquick consumptionand ice cream on astick, avoid stacking,in order to ensurebetter conservation ofthe food.

DEFROSTING AND CLEANING

The excess of ice in the freezer harmsthe functioning of the product,increasing power consumption, andthis is why periodic deicing isnecessary.Perform the deicing periodically whenthe ice layer is approximately 1 cmthick.

Defrosting shall preferably be donewhen there is not much food in thefreezer. Follow the steps below:

✔ Disconnect the plug.

✔ Pack foods andplace one packetnext to the other inthe coldest place ofyour refrigerator orin a thermal container.

✔ Leave the door open to speed updefrosting process, and cover thefrontal side, to keep the waterdrops which may fall down.

✔ Remove thedrawers, use theplastic spoon whichgoes with tourfreezer to removethe ice.

Important:

✔ Do not use sharp or cuttingobjects to remove the ice.They may damage the product.

✔ Place correctly the plastic drawer.It’s inside this part that the mostpart of the water resulting from thedefrosting flows through.

✔ When defrosting is finished,remove the drawer and get rid ofthe water.

✔ It is advisable to clean the inside ofthe freezer well and thoroughlywhenever the deicing is executed.

✔ Use a soft cloth or sponge soakedin water with mild detergent/soap.Rinse well and dry with a clean,dry cloth.

Important:

✔ Never use toxic (ammonia,alcohol, removers, etc.), abrasiveproducts (scouring cleansers,powders etc.), scouring pads orbrushes when cleaningyour freezer.They may damageyour freezerand leave anunpleasant smell.

✔ Do not let those products get intouch with your freezer as theymay damage it.

✔ To clean the outside back part ofthe product, use a vacuum cleanerof duster only.

WHEN YOU ARE AWAY

✔ When you are away for a long time,unplug the product and empty thefreezer, including ice trays.Leave the door open to avoidodors.

✔ When you are away for a shorttime, you may leave your freezeron. Remember, however, that theremay be power supply failure for along time and that defrosting offood may cause its degradation.

✔ After cleaning, connect the plug tothe wall outlet. If necessary, set thetemperature control to the positiondesired.

✔ Replace the food in the freezer.

Cracks are due to displacement of ice.It is the same noise of ice trays being exposed toroom temperature.

This noise is characteristic of the motor. It meansthat the compressor is operating.

This noise is characteristic of gas expansion in therefrigeration system. It is a noise similar to the onegenerated when we inflate a gas balloon.

Por Dónde Empiezo?

Conexión a tierra:(Enchufe con 2 terminales)

✔ Todo freezer posee capacidadde congelar una cantidad máximade alimentos cada 24 horas.Evite exceder la capacidad decongelamiento de su producto, queusted puede conferir en las“Características Técnicas”

✔ Observe siempre la fecha devencimiento de los productoscongelados, indicada por elfabricante.

ALMACENANDO ALIMENTOSImportante:

✔ Se recomienda mantener elfreezer operando por 2 horascomo mínimo antes deproveerlo con alimentos,tiempo necesario para laestabilización de la temperaturaen el interior del producto.

✔ Si se descongela el alimento, nose debe congelar nuevamenteporque éste puede perder suscaracterísticas naturales.

✔ Los líquidos aumentan devolumen cuando soncongelados.Por eso, tenga cuidado alalmacenar botellas u otrosrecipientes cerrados por unperíodo prolongado en elfreezer. Estos recipientespueden romperse.

✔ No almacene productos tóxicosen su freezer pues ellos puedencontaminar los alimentos.

Preferentemente, el descongelamientodebe ser hecho cuando haya pocosalimentos en el freezer, siguiendo lospasos a continuación:

✔ Desconecte elenchufe deltomacorriente.

✔ Embale los alimentosy coloque uno junto al otro en ellocal más frío de su refrigerador oen algún recipiente térmico.

✔ Deje la puerta abierta para acelerarel descongelamiento, y forre el pisoal frente de su freezer para retenereventuales gotas de agua.

✔ Retire las gavetas yraspe el hielo conla espátula deplástico queacompaña sufreezer.

✔ Coloque correctamente el cajón deplástico. Es en ella que se junta lamayor parte del agua resultante delhielo.

✔ Terminado el descongelamiento,retire el cajón y tire el agua.

✔ Se aconseja una buena y completalimpieza interna del freezersiempre que sea efectuada laoperación descongelamiento.

✔ Use una esponja o paño suavehumedecido en agua condetergente o jabón neutros.Enjuague bien y seque con pañolimpio y seco.

Importante:

✔ Nunca utilice objetos cortanteso puntiagudos para remover elhielo, pues usted puede dañarel producto.

Importante:

✔ Nunca utilice productostóxicos (amoníaco, alcohol,removedores, etc.) o abrasivos(jabón de pulir, pastas, etc.) nilimpiador de acero o cepillosen la limpieza de su freezer.Estos productos puedendañar su freezery dejar oloresdesagradablesen el interiordel mismo.

✔ Evite también el contacto deestos productos con su freezer,pues podrán dañarlo.

VIAJES Y AUSENCIAS

✔ Para limpiar la parte externa trasera,use solamente un aspirador depolvos o un plumero.

✔ Después de la limpieza, conecte elenchufe en el tomacorriente.

✔ En las ausencias largas, desconecteel producto del tomacorriente yvacíe el freezer, incluso las cubetasde hielo. Deje la puerta abiertapara evitar olores.

✔ Para períodos cortos de ausencia,su freezer podrá permanecerconectado. Acuérdese de quepuede haber falla de energíaeléctrica por un largo período detiempo mientras usted esté fuera y,en este caso, el descongelamientode los alimentos provocará ladegradación de los mismos.

Si es necesario ajuste el control detemperatura en la posicióndeseada.

✔ Recoloque los alimentos en elfreezer.

Los estallos son debido al desplacamiento de hielo.Es el mismo ruido que ocurre cuando cubetas de hieloson retiradas del freezer y expuestas a la temperaturaambiente.

Ruido característico de motor. Significa que elcompresor está en funcionamiento.

Ruido característico de la expansión del gas en elsistema de refrigeración. Es un ruido semejante algenerado cuando se llena un balón de gas.
